One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries. A.A.Milne. Lucent at Incinerator Art Space. July 11, 2015. A young boy just visited and said ‘I never knew art could be so interesting. This is a first for me.’ It’s made my day! We also had a discussion about the prism and the nature of light.). Lucent at Incinerator Art Space. June 12, 2015. I know I haven’t been posting much: this is the reason. I’ve been hard at work preparing for this show. May 26, 2015.

February 13, 2015. I do love the way light penetrates waxed paper. This is destined to be a lamp, and I’m working to make it completely stable and workable. I burned thousands of holes into the paper over some days. It was quite a meditative process. Filed under New Work. Larr; Jenny Sages Workshop. In the studio today. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Jenny Sages Workshop. | BOX OF BIRDS

February 12, 2015. I recently attended a workshop at Bangalow with Jenny Sages. it was an opportunity to learn how Jenny does her wonderful works. It seems that those huge portraits are painted in oils on a wax ground, so they are not really encaustic paintings. The wax ground gives the paint a beautiful luminosity, and a kind of warmth to the skin tones which would be very difficult to achieve in any other way. Here are some images from the workshop. A cluttered corner of my studio. My etching press, Blue Sky, is on castors, so that I can move it around the studio according to my needs. The street entrance to my studio. The orange thing is an industrial exhaust to extract fumes from the building. My etching press, Blue Sky. August 2, 2013. Thanks, Mari. yes, it’s great – it’s a real refuge from the world. But your studio has wonderful texture and age upon it. A very evocative space to work in, I imagine. August 2, 2013. What a beautiful studio Anthea!

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. Pablo Picasso. I found this amazing video about a year back, it’s been filmed at the Burning Man festival, which takes place in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada and is all about expression, art; and I imagine a LOT of drug taking. I quoted this particular Dr. Seuss book a couple of weeks ago in a blog post, it’s from. Oh The Places You’ll Go,. By pamdearmond on 2013/01/29. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. Pablo Picasso. These pieces were made for Jennifer for Christmas. They are acrylic mixed media. On wood. When deciding on what to make Jennifer for Christmas, these two girls kept coming up for some reason. Jennifer has no children, when I gave them to her I said “I see girls in your future Jennifer”. Jennifer then told me she had just found out she was pregnant. Everything happens for a reason. By pamdearmond on 2013/01/11. Enter your comment here.
