Amir Amirashairi - ARCH 1201: April 2009
http://amirashairi1201.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Amir Amirashairi - ARCH 1201. Friday, April 3, 2009. Progress photo shots of the model. Progress images of the construction of Villa Muller by Aldof Loos. At first, as a group we had decided to make the model to scale of 1:50, but after gaining the measurements we decided that the scale 1:100 would suit us better in the long run. Throwing an all-nighter to attack the model was a difficult task, especially when there wasn’t a section drawing for the section that I wanted to do. Thus, I made the ...

Nick Brennan ARCH1201 2009: Project 3 - Building Precedent
http://nickbrennan-arch1201-2009.blogspot.com/2009/05/project-3-building-precedent.html
Sunday, May 24, 2009. Project 3 - Building Precedent. Built in furniture to rest and observe artwork. Sculpture gallery intertwined with walkway. Upper sculpture galleries have very thick and tall, possibly 1.5m, parapet walls with tops slopped in towards seats at angle. They prevent people from leaning over and dropping things. Also makes it feel more like a room rather than open to the void and cavernous hall. Walkways between separate upper areas/terraces. Detailed tops of walls. Main Course Blog Site.

Karl Desai: Concept 2
http://acearchitect.blogspot.com/2009/06/concept-2.html
Wednesday, June 3, 2009. The first scheme was undoubtedly too explicit and complex. It needed to be simplified and completely reworked. The foundation however was set, with the decision to have three separate buildings serving different programmatic requirements. This added to the street metaphor and the meandering of passer-by’s through the site (like pedestrians exploring shops along King Street). The second draft model show’s the massing of the buildings similar to the final scheme. Final Model - Cons...

Karl Desai: October 2008
http://acearchitect.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 21, 2008. I’m glad I chose the Colour workshop as it allowed me to flex my creative mite. I was surprised at some of the ideas I generated for the Atlas. I thought my skills were lacking for some of the activities namely painting and drawing. I enjoyed learning about colour theory and now I can appreciate Architecture from yet another perspective. I feel as though I have development and learnt quite a lot from this course, which I may apply in my future student and work life. Skills ...
