Elusive Onions: Calm in the Clutter
http://elusiveonions.blogspot.com/2015/06/calm-in-clutter.html
Stories, observations, sharing and food. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Calm in the Clutter. Yes, yes, I know it's been a long while. I'd offer excuses, but I don't have that kind of time. I have a lot I want to accomplish today. My list of excuses can wait. So, what has brought me back here? Who am I kidding? There is no "done" to this task.). Yep, 15 minutes is all I can manage before I start stress over the simplest decisions. Keep or toss? What if I need it again later? And on, and on, and on. I've used a...

Elusive Onions: November 2014
http://elusiveonions.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Stories, observations, sharing and food. Sunday, November 30, 2014. So, here I am once again with nothing to say. Actually, that's not true. A lot of really cool stuff has been happening that I'd love to tell you about, but I just don't have the time. Or rather, I just don't make the time. Or rather, I'm letting all my thoughts mellow until I have just the right words to share with you. Nah I'm just lazy. Until I get my act together here's another picture of me:. Clothing (Purchased at Be. For Visible Mo...

Elusive Onions: July 2014
http://elusiveonions.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Stories, observations, sharing and food. Sunday, July 27, 2014. These visions were not unwarranted. Though I've never been injured, I have practically disrobed myself when wearing skirts of the floaty variety. Imagine crouching beside a child's desk in a voluminous skirt. Got it? The pub is about 3 km from our house. I knew I needed something comfortable for walking, but I wanted to look decent when we got there. I finally decided to try one of the maxi skirts. I'm pleased to report that the skirt was a ...

Elusive Onions: Desk Debris?
http://elusiveonions.blogspot.com/2015/06/desk-debris.html
Stories, observations, sharing and food. Thursday, June 18, 2015. I wasn't sure what to call this post. What is the appropriate title for a post about the crap you find mixed in a basket of pennies? The picture below gives you an idea of the size of the basket. Picture-taking gave me the opportunity to slack off from my de-cluttering duties. There were a dozen photos taken and evaluated and retaken before I could settle on one.). A rusty paper clip. A hair elastic that had lost all its elastic. A 1981 Ca...

Elusive Onions: Magic Mike XXL - Random Thoughts from a Middle-Aged Woman
http://elusiveonions.blogspot.com/2015/07/magic-mike-xxl-random-thoughts-from.html
Stories, observations, sharing and food. Sunday, July 19, 2015. Magic Mike XXL - Random Thoughts from a Middle-Aged Woman. I didn't see the first Magic Mike. He's going to hurt himself dancing around the workshop like that. Where are his safety boots? Those sneakers may be good for dancing, but they're not going to help him if he drops an armoire on his foot. He should be wearing steel-toed boots. Pool-side in a suit and tie. I bet they're going to push him in. Yep. They did. Did he just say "bang her"?

Elusive Onions: October 2014
http://elusiveonions.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Stories, observations, sharing and food. Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Reaping in the Rain. This year the stars (and schedules) aligned to allow me to help with the grape harvest at Sleeping Cougar Acres. Petite milo grapes, the ones we were harvesting, are considered whites even though they are a lovely pink when ripe. There are 350 of these plants at Sleeping Cougar Acres. There were six of us picking. You do the math. In previous years they managed to pick the whites in about three hours. Or rather a bu...

Elusive Onions: Boppity, Boppity, Bop!
http://elusiveonions.blogspot.com/2015/07/boppity-boppity-bop.html
Stories, observations, sharing and food. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Boppity, Boppity, Bop! Sharing because I love it! Thank you Mr. Breathed! Great brains and beauty,. He's a hot patootie! Boppity, boppity, bop! Yesterday my workday ended on a sour note. That sourness followed me all the way home. My inner, middle-aged curmudgeon wasn't so "inner" any more. I would have stomped around the house if my feet weren't so sore after being on them all day. Then I found the above comic strip on Facebook. Subscribe ...
