Quilting in Kerikeri: April 2015
http://quiltkeri.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 19, 2015. Show and Tell - March 2015. Welcome to March's show and tell (only a little bit late.). Donella showed off this quilt made to donate to the community - simple but effective. She also showed us these two. The smaller bassinet quilt is already on a cot at the local maternity unit and it was made with scraps from the larger one. They are snuggly plaid flannel fabrics. Carol is tall, so this is one long table runner! Interesting curves and bright solids make it a bit different. Auckla...

Friday, September 5, 2014. August 2014 Show and Tell. Welcome to Show and Tell for August. Beatrice gets most prolific quilter award for the month. This is the first one she showed us, a two coloured stunning design - can you imagine the colour possibilities for this? Here's her next one. Using up fabric swap squares from a swap she participated in about a decade ago ;-). Another scrappy quilt. I like this design too. Can you spot the whoopsie? I work there, so I know how much they brighten up the rooms.

Thursday, June 5, 2014. Show and Tell - May 2014. Welcome to May show and tell. There is some real eye-candy here, enjoy! This masterpiece was made by Bia. All hand-appliqued and hand-quilted, it was made for her (very lucky) niece. Bia loves her hand work. These bags have detailed and intricate beading - closeup below. Closeups - there are 3D petals on the sunflower. This is a healing heart quilt that we made for one of our members who needs a bit of extra love at the moment. This quilt was started by C...

Quilting in Kerikeri: October Show and Tell
http://quiltkeri.blogspot.com/2014/11/october-show-and-tell.html
Monday, November 3, 2014. October Show and Tell. Welcome to Show and Tell for October. Olive made a cute Holly Hobby quilt. Diane used bits and pieces to make two sweet bassinet quilts to donate to the local Maternity Unit. This is a community quilt to be donated and also uses up bits and pieces. There's a reason why log cabin blocks are so timeless - they always look good! And the back - using up more. I love a classic nine patch too. Here's Darryl with a community quilt. What a confection of pink!
