The Apollo Bay museum - housed in the buildings from which the undersea cable connected Tasmania with the mainland - is operated by the Apollo Bay and District Historical Society. It is located at 6250 Great Ocean Road, Apollo Bay 3233 - near Wild Dog Creek. The museum is open at Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays and school holidays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and at other times by prior arrangement for group visits. Books and family histories.
