As a part of the 3rd grade's study of ancient Rome, the students were given the opportunity to create Roman shields and practice some of the formations that the Roman armies performed in battle. This really excited the kids and brought this particular part of the curriculum to life! Fortunately, we able to capture a few of their recreated battled formations on film. Archway Chandler Music K-1-2-3. Friday, November 18, 2016. Week of November 14-18. What an amazing concert this past Tuesday! Thank you to all the students and staff who worked together to make the concert so wonderful. First grade explored the idea of a "beat" more with Engine, Engine Number 9, and both first grade and Kindergarten listened to Carnival of the Animals. They discussed what different animals might "sound" like and then did movement with scarves to embody that sound/mood.
