A River Edge: March 2015
http://www.ariveredge.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 15, 2015. A Thank You with a Box of Flies. At the end of the trip, this gentleman generously decided to fly my wife and I back to New York City with him on his plane. I promised to thank him for his generosity and kindness with some of my flies for the Upper Delaware River. I just finished filling the box today and they will be sent off to him soon. Custom engraved box from Stonefly Studios http:/ www.stoneflystudio.com/. Should cover all the main hatches on the Upper Delaware. On this day ...

Monday, April 27, 2015. The River At Last. There hasn't been much fishing since my trip to Patagonia, actually none to be exact. I've been traveling since March and it has been a busy two months. Work has had me on the road, but I've managed to have fun along the way. There was good food and drinks had and great places visited: New Orleans, Atlanta, Raleigh, LA, Charleston, and Augusta. Live music in Frenchmans. A few drinks before dinner. Mother's - a great place to visit in NOLA. Brass and horns in NOLA.

Sunday, January 12, 2014. Tying some Tube Flies for Steelhead. I'm hoping one of these weekends will be mild and I'll have the opportunity again to swing some flies for winter steelhead on the Salmon River. I've been only using tube flies ever since I started spey casting this past fall. I was first introduced to tube flies in Norway and all the Norwegians I was fishing with exclusively used them for salmon. Sunday, January 12, 2014. Saturday, January 11, 2014. 2013 Fly Fishing ADD. A wet fly brown.
A River Edge: A History
http://www.ariveredge.com/p/a-history.html
Fishing Hunting Creek Lake in the Catoctin Mountains, MD circa 1988. I grew up in Potomac, Maryland an area west of Washington DC and was introduced to fishing and a love for the outdoors at an early age by my father. I spent the majority of my childhood cutting my teeth fishing the Potomac River, which was a quick bike ride from my home and spent time exploring the Shenandoah River as well as the many other streams and lakes in my area and the Chesapeake Bay. Connecticut Fly Angler: Home Water
http://flyfishingcts.blogspot.com/2014/05/home-water.html
Tales of hunting any fish willing to eat some feathers tied on a hook. Friday, May 23, 2014. None of the trout to hand were all that big but one of the bigger boys did come up for and miss the Wulff. Regardless of size the wild trout were full of energy and very colorful. I did get two stockers way downstream, they rarely make it into the best stretch of stream. When they do and you catch one after landing tons of gorgeous stream born fish, you are disappointed. Can You Tell the Difference? It was a treat.
Connecticut Fly Angler: Oh, The Hit of a Pickerel
http://flyfishingcts.blogspot.com/2014/05/oh-hit-of-pickerel.html
Tales of hunting any fish willing to eat some feathers tied on a hook. Monday, May 26, 2014. Oh, The Hit of a Pickerel. Today I wanted to fish a pond that can only be fly fished from a boat or kayak. Unable to do so today, I traversed the shore throwing spinnerbaits and top water lures. I got one Largemouth on the spinnerbait, and one on a jig. Both took next to a sunken tree. Quit a few bass took the Heddon Torpedo. Looks like I'll need to get the dog biscuits and spun dear hair dry flies ready! Fish of...
Connecticut Fly Angler: 40 Inches of Atlantic Salmon on a Caddis
http://flyfishingcts.blogspot.com/2014/10/40-inches-of-brown-on-caddis.html
Tales of hunting any fish willing to eat some feathers tied on a hook. Sunday, October 12, 2014. 40 Inches of Atlantic Salmon on a Caddis. A month ago I spotted what I thought was a huge brown trout. Today my father and I set out to catch it. Of course, we expected the fish to be a meat eater, and in today's previous post I wrote about the mice and streamers that I hoped would find the fishes fancy. I'm just so glad my fly happened to look appetizing to a Salmon. On the car ride home we discussed the eve...
