From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome: Romans 1
http://joearant.blogspot.com/2008/03/romans-1.html
From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome. Monday, March 10, 2008. To Rome. (Part 1 of? 8220;Everyone soon or late comes round by Rome.” – Robert Browning, English Victorian poet. This final entry (or more correctly entries) has possibly been the hardest to concisely place in a means adequate of it’s importance, both in the life of the man from Tarsus, and also in the ramifications it rightly carries as being the most important book in the New Testament aside from the Gospels and Acts (respectively). Paul knew the ...

From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome. Monday, December 24, 2007. Question #1: Do people apart from Christ need to fear the wrath of God? Because they are sinful and deserve the wrath of God! Apart from Christ, we all deserve the wrath of God. Praise God for the grace found in our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus! Question #2: Do people who are found in Christ need to fear the wrath of God? Question #3: What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news found in Christ Jesus, namely, through Christ, we now have acces...

From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome: October 2007
http://joearant.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome. Saturday, October 6, 2007. It is interesting how this man from Tarsus entered into the story; almost as an afterthought. A terrible, terrible afterthought. He stood by, guarding the clothes of those who stoned that saint, that pillar of faith, Stephen. It was his consent. His silence spoke for him. Perhaps that is why he remembered it so well (Acts 22:20). Was he innocent of Stephens’s blood? Did not the Roman’s condemn innocent blood? To Peter, He says build my Church!

http://joearant.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome. Friday, November 2, 2007. 8230;he was a man. Of God, a man desired through Jesus Christ, a man to be made. So that Christ may seem great, that Christ may be glorified. He was a man liberated, whose cords were snapped, a man given rest from his heavy burden. Rest…. Perhaps that is why Barnabas departed to Tarsus to seek him (Acts 11:25). 8220;Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that...

Set Theory and Weather Prediction – XOR’s Hammer
https://xorshammer.com/2008/08/23/set-theory-and-weather-prediction
Some things in mathematical logic that I find interesting. August 23, 2008. October 3, 2008. Set Theory and Weather Prediction. Here’s a puzzle:. You and Bob are going to play a game which has the following steps. Bob thinks of some function. It’s arbitrary: it doesn’t have to be continuous or anything). Bob reveals to you the table of values. Of his function on every input except the one you specified. You guess the value. Of Bob’s secret function on the number. That you picked in step 2. That Bob picks...

From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome. Friday, May 23, 2008. It is for this reason that Paul speaks, “What if some were unfaithful? We listen to David as he speaks in the Psalms:. 8220;For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. And you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.” - Psalms 51:3-6. For God to judge. It is intrinsic to His office,. This is a...

From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome: February 2008
http://joearant.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
From Tarsus to Antioch to Rome. Friday, February 1, 2008. It looks like it may be a two parter, being that it is a hugely dense book. I'm stuck in Romans 5, but it's a good kind of stuck, the kind of stuck that will inevitably produce fruits of knowledge by the quickening of the Spirit. I'm hoping to get through 8 before I post part one, Lord willing. In the meantime, check out this link. It is a masterfully crafted parody rebuttal to Hitchen's. God is not Great. Generating Functions as Cardinality of Set Maps – XOR’s Hammer
https://xorshammer.com/2011/12/24/generating-functions-as-cardinality-of-set-maps
Some things in mathematical logic that I find interesting. December 24, 2011. December 24, 2011. Generating Functions as Cardinality of Set Maps. There is a class of all cardinalities. And so forth defined on it. Furthermore, there is a map. Sets to cardinalities such that. Ordinary generating functions can be thought of entirely analogously. There is a class. There is a (partial) map. And so on). Here,. Other operations on set maps (like disjoint union) are similarly defined pointwise. Of all sets in.
