While Arransian lorries do not have speed limiters, there is a law that requires any vehicle overtaking another to maintain a speed differential of at least 5 mph, which greatly reduces the problem of "duelling lorries" on 2-lane sections. On the A64 running north-west of Stainton, there is an experimental ban on rush-hour overtaking by lorries above 8 tons, the effects of which are still being evaluated. Arransia has never manufactured aircraft (apart from some very small light planes) but Arransian companies have become increasingly important as suppliers to the Brunswickian and Mayonnaise aircraft industries. When I was younger I used to enjoy drawing maps of imaginary countries, and places within those countries. This is obviously not a recreation you tend to put on your CV, but I've found a surprising number of people have done similar things, including, for example, the very elaborate maps drawn by Adrian Leskiw at The Map Realm. I was recently invited by a friend to take over a corner of a fantasy country he was creating, and the result was Arransia. With which it has a somewhat love-hate relationship.
