Kirk, Sara, Grace and Sophia stopped to have lunch with us last Monday. It was really fun to see them and Sophia had a wonderful time sucking on Uncle Scott's finger! She was squealing and drooling so much! It was very cute. Tummy time. He is holding his head up so well! One day, all of a sudden, he just had it down! After a warm bath!

Saturday, February 18, 2012. We recently finished up a study on penguins with my kinders and 1st graders. Students had to create a pinch-pot penguin and painted it. I found the idea on Patty's site; www.Deep Space Sparkle.com- thanks Patty! They turned out super cute and I displayed them in our winter wonderland display case. And the kids loved making them. Monday, July 1, 2013. Summer School Session 2: Off to a bang. We are now into the second two week session of summer school. With my new group of kiddos we started out with the bird bath project again- it's such a fun and cute project. On day two I showed the students two different ways to make a container. One way was using rectangles and squares to create a box and the other way was to connect a long rectangle together to create a cylinder. Both techniques use the slab rolling construction method.

Thursday, March 7, 2013. Putting Color Theory into Practice. Today was a fun, coloful day full of exploration and creativity! My third grade has been studying color theory in preparation for our upcoming art museum field trip. We made some spinning color wheels that I'll have to post another time. Today they got to use the primary colors to create monoprints. What a fun time! They could make as many prints as they wished. Needless to say I ran out of paper towels in my dispensers very early in the day!

Scott, Jenny and Ethan. Sunday, February 13, 2011. Ethan really likes the snow. He likes to make boot prints and I taught him to throw snowballs at Dad! He will also throw them at me! We have not gone sledding yet, but I have a feeling Ethan will really enjoy that, too. We were planning to go today, but unfortunately Ethan has a cold. Hopefully soon! Scott, Jenny and Ethan.
