Funky Family: Hobart
http://funkyhappyfamily.blogspot.com/2013/01/hobart.html
Monday, January 7, 2013. We planned a weekend away but the destination was a mystery to me. We ended up in Hobart, to take in an art gallery/experience there and to relax in general. We missed the mark with each other, at times, which always seems painful. But we were able to come fully back together, to fully digest the emotional bumps. We went to the movies, ate out, caught a ferry, made friends in the beer garden, read and schemed in the park. (that's the PG version, of course!

Funky Family: April 2010
http://funkyhappyfamily.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 1, 2010. On our way to Inverloch with Gord's folks, we stopped at Coal Creek. Our closest local equivalent to the Mennonite Heritage Village. Actually, the two places are remarkably similar. I guess all that old-fashioned stuff wasn't that different, continent to continent! The pics tell the story - look out for smoochy couple shots of the tourists! Photo war with Auntie Ev! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Funky Family: Jethro and Eloi's birthday party
http://funkyhappyfamily.blogspot.com/2010/03/jethro-and-elois-birthday-party.html
Sunday, March 21, 2010. Jethro and Eloi's birthday party. Our friends Tim and Jacqui have a son, Eloi, who was born on Feb 14th, just a bit before Jethro, so they shared a joint birthday party. Jacqui's friend made this amazing cake:. A few games outside. Jethro in his element, humping around outside! The two birthday boys feeding the horse across the road (with Eloi's grandfather). Not happy about blowing out the candles! Lara sums Jethro up. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Funky Family: September 2009
http://funkyhappyfamily.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 27, 2009. A new Gumnut Guide. Piper was enrolled as a Gumnut Guide earlier this month - the day after Mr McKrahn arrived, actually. (Gumnut Guides being the youngest age group of Girl Guides. I was a Guide when I was a kid and got so much out of it. I can't describe the feeling I had, seeing her all dressed up in the uniform - some warm cross between pride and excitement and that feeling you have when you're introducing something really cool to someone. Funky Family: July 2009
http://funkyhappyfamily.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Our rusty-red feature wall, and our loungeroom in process. Finally got some pictures up on the wall. The curtains will go eventually, and that particular rug probably won't stay there, but yeah, it's fun to keep adding to the space. Jasper in pjs from Jeff and Sharon, meant for Jethro! Links to this post. Piper had been complaining about me brushing her hair, and Jasper's hair was getting pretty out there, like an eccentric professor! And after. they look great! Links to this post.

Funky Family: June 2009
http://funkyhappyfamily.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 8, 2009. Now that we have the you-beaut woodstove, we've had to pile up some logs to go in it! Check out my axe-action! Gord says my posture is crap, but hey. Three-way-split, thankyou very much, so who gives a fig about posture! Must admit, it was amazing splitting wood.). Our efforts. Okay, make that mostly Gord's efforts! Links to this post. My best mate Anna got engaged to Chris on the weekend, so we had fun dressing up and heading into Brunswick to celebrate. Links to this post.
