Artists' Journal Workshop: Noodler's Flex Pens

http://artistsjournalworkshop.blogspot.com/2011/12/noodlers-flex-pens.html

28 ARTISTS and JOURNALISTS. Their work and words, interviews, blogs, images, hints, tips, websites. Sunday, December 14, 2014. These were done with a Noodler's Creaper flex pen, the smallest one they make; I love. The varied lines, and the fact that you can tweak the pens- literally take them apart to clean and service them yourself if you wish. (LOTS of good videos on that at http:/ gouletpens.com. At $14, I find these a fantastic bargain for a flexible-nib fountain pen! Side, for some unknown reason in...

28 ARTISTS and JOURNALISTS. Their work and words, interviews, blogs, images, hints, tips, websites. Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Toaster Alarm - Sandy Williams. My dog, Callie, and I both like routines. She keeps me on my toes and we don't deviate from meal times, walk times or time to get up in the morning. And she takes anything having to do with food VERY seriously! Well, she's a Labrador Retriever so no surprise there. March 3, 2015 at 9:23 AM. Cute drawing and story. March 3, 2015 at 10:21 AM. Http:/ ast...

Artists' Journal Workshop: Writing on sketchbook pages

28 ARTISTS and JOURNALISTS. Their work and words, interviews, blogs, images, hints, tips, websites. Friday, February 27, 2015. Writing on sketchbook pages. I was recently asked “why do sketchers feel the need to add writing? I don't think you need it. Is it a tradition? I have thought about this a few times over the last few years in relation to my sketches/drawings and this seems a good opportunity to put my thoughts in order and onto ‘paper’ , so to speak. My answer to the query was". The most importan...

Artists' Journal Workshop: Painting with Gouache - Sandy Williams

http://artistsjournalworkshop.blogspot.com/2015/05/painting-with-gouache-sandy-williams.html

28 ARTISTS and JOURNALISTS. Their work and words, interviews, blogs, images, hints, tips, websites. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Painting with Gouache - Sandy Williams. It's 41 degrees this morning here in Michigan and, although we don't have snow, it's certainly cold enough to remind me that it isn't that far behind us. This is a snowscape I did using gouache to paint over the pen and ink and watercolor pencil painting. Gouache was perfect to add the opaque touches for the snow. May 13, 2015 at 5:22 PM.

my daily tree: Tree #148–153

http://a-tree-a-day.blogspot.com/2012/08/tree.html

I love trees. I have always loved trees. My goal was to make one tree (drawing, painting, assemblage, other) each day for 365 days. Well, I missed a day or two and got totally sidetracted in November with the birth of my first grandchild—my "family tree" sprouted! The 365th day has come and gone. It has been a very satisfying experience and I'm going to keep going until I I do Tree #365. My inspiration is MakeSomething365 and Artists Journal Workshop. Friday, August 31, 2012. An illustrated journey through life and time. by Tony Mazzola. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Its finally starting to warm up and I wasted no time getting in a quick sketch in my journal. Art Journal Adventures: Across the map

http://tonymazzola.blogspot.com/2014/03/across-map.html

An illustrated journey through life and time. by Tony Mazzola. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. This weeks post is not of a journal page, but of a card I made for my friend Gabe who lives in California. Although we reconnected just a few years ago through Facebook, we haven't actually seen each other in about seventeen years and being on opposite coasts doesnt make it easier. This is the photo he posted, and that I decided to make a watercolor card of. I truly felt the passion my friend has for this city.

An Artist's Journal. An Artist's Journal: The day-to-day life of a full-time artist, exploring the highs, the lows, and the in betweens. What’s New in the Studio. January 13, 2018. Just looking around the studio this morning at a whole bunch of unfinished projects, wondering which ones to focus on first. That’s not a bad problem to have, actually, but it does tend to give me pause. What it means is that I need to clear some space in order to focus. Am I the only one? Just a quick note about my Etsy shop.

Artists Journals | create illustrated journals & diaries

Create illustrated journals and diaries. Art Journals v. Artist’s Journals. Two phrases are often used interchangeably: ‘Art journals’ and ‘artists journals.’. For me, an artist’s journal. Or journal representing the artist. It’s about the person’s life, or some aspect of it, such as a travel journal, a diet and fitness journal, or something like my ‘decluttering journal’. Art and the journal is also a work of art, in itself. By contrast, an art journal. I use an art journal as my. If I don’t. Yesterday,...
