Nursing By The Numbers. Moving Forward →. October 24, 2011 · 12:22 am. This is my 5 minute brain dump for stream of Consciousness Sunday. An issue that is really nagging at me. Is it an issue at all? You tell me what you think. Also, don’t forget to link up! The last time I had a child in the public school system was when my 18yr old daughter started kindergarten years ago. She completed her year then I promptly started homeschooling her for 1st grade and never looked back. I guess I need to make some ca...

Nursing By The Numbers. 8211; SOCS →. October 21, 2011 · 4:06 pm. I don’t know how to explain it. lately I’ve been feeling. Not in a good way. Nurses are bad at getting care for themselves when needed. It’s a proven fact. Take care of everyone else first, yourself last. I’m so guilty of this. Honestly though, it’s more due to the fact that I don’t have health insurance. A nurse, without health insurance? Lately though, something is different. I’m not feeling sick. I’m just feeling. Well, I’ve dealt...

Nursing By The Numbers. Newer posts →. October 7, 2011 · 2:32 am. I’ve seen death before, but tonight was different. Maybe I got too attached? Maybe it reminded me too much of what we went through with my Father-in-Law as he passed. For whatever reason, I took it hard. He had moments, stretches of time where we thought there was hope. Maybe he’d pull through this or that. The treatments would work. Then he’d spiral down again, leaving us knowing it was just a matter of time. RIP Mr. X and God speed.

Nursing By The Numbers. March 25, 2012 · 7:05 pm. What’s wrong with me? As a Nurse, I’ve realized something. I have a problem. I’m on the verge of being a hypochondriac. Ok, actually I don’t know if I qualify for the. Meaning of that title. Since Nurses, myself included, are well known for self diagnosing and never wanting or *needing* to go to a doctor for anything. I get aches and pains, weird little *things* that pop up (or out) here and there and I swear I’m going to die. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Nursing By The Numbers. What’s wrong with me? March 13, 2012 · 3:46 am. I’m an impatient soul. Always have been, probably always will be. I get bored easy too. Then, I get the bright ideas in my head to something different only to later find. Doesn’t work for me either. So this whole blogging thing has been a great example of this pattern for me over the years. I come, I go. Well, I’m back. What’s wrong with me? One response to “. March 13, 2012 at 9:35 am. I know this has been a difficult time for you.

A Safe Place
Wednesday, November 2, 2016. A new blog post is long, long overdue, and I know it. Sometimes, though, life just isn’t exciting. And it’s difficult to imagine what I could possibly say that would be of interest to anyone. Would you really care to know that I spent weeks after my return in August proofreading spreadsheets – the information for the progress reports that would go out to sponsors this fall? Or that I made list upon list of questions and information needed and photos to be taken? This week I t...

Tuesday, April 4, 2017. The Long and Winding Road. Fundraising is not anyone's best topic. You are asking people for money. That is a lose-lose situation to begin with. When your health and safety are at risk, you are disabled and on a fixed income, what choices do you have? I know I have to build a block fence to replace the old wooden one and soon. Without your support, that fence will never be built. Our yard will never be safe from predators. We would appreciate any support you could give us.
A Safe Place for Women by Kelly White
A Safe Place for Women by Kelly White. A Safe Place for Women. A Safe Place for Women. Tells a harrowing, but ultimately hopeful, story of one woman's ordeal with an abusive husband and how she gained the strength to leave him and thrive in a new life with her children. Noted women's advocate Kelly White unsparingly revisits the dark periods of her husband's irrational, violent moods. Her narrative makes clear why women often stay in such situations and also how to end them. A Safe Place for Women.
