Studying abroad in Guangzhou. Learning Chinese – Mission Impossible? November 23, 2015. The main reason for choosing to come to study in China was of course studying Chinese. Prior to coming here I had studied a little bit on my own at Coursera. And Chinese Class 101. Chinese is of course notoriously hard to learn, and up there among some of the hardest languages of the world to learn at least for a native English speaker. What makes it so hard? Tone up your pronunciation. That stroke is pretty radical!
