A Moolb's Words: December 2008

Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Day 29 - Dashing Yonder and Thither. Happy New Year's Eve, everybody. No update on the news from yesterday; I still can't remember what that third item of news was to be. It definitely was not:. 3) I have been abducted by a sinister cult and used in their sinister experiments. It might have been:. 3) I have been abducted by a sinister cult and used in their sinister experiments AND THEN HAD MY MEMORY WIPED. 3) Kill the Beast Within. 4) Tame the Beast Without. 1) Discworld MU...

A Moolb's Words: April 2007
http://moolb.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 04, 2007. This is my 51st post - to celebrate, I am accepting donations of any multiple of £51. Please send them to the usual address. I did have a great idea for a blog post, but it's proved more difficult than I had thought. I enjoy writing (well, in a way), and intend to to do more of it. Then I thought of the old expression: "A picture is worth a thousand words". Surely, then, a thousand words is worth a picture? I was working from one of Ryan's pictures. Pros: Well, just look at it.

Is the world crazy or am I?: Experiencing "The Citizen Kane of bad films" first hand
http://deutsches.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-room-experiencing-citizen-kane-of.html
Is the world crazy or am I? Sunday, September 29, 2013. Experiencing "The Citizen Kane of bad films" first hand. You are tearing me apart conventional movie expectations! The Room, written, directed and starring Tommy Wiseau is a bit of an enigma. Is it an earnest attempt to make a decent movie ruined by serendipitously hilarious incompetence? Is it a winking self-conscious parody of the film making art? It’s a little hard to put one’s finger on. 8221; for the duration of the shots. Overall it’s a ...

Is the world crazy or am I?: 08/01/2014 - 09/01/2014
http://deutsches.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Is the world crazy or am I? Friday, August 15, 2014. Now since charity organisations have really taken the mantle of pointless “looky looky” “feely-feely” social media campaigning we see a much more direct and perhaps socially manipulative form of charity campaigning. The latest form is the Ice Bucket Challenge (replacing the outdated flavour of the month the No-Make-Up-Selfie, incidentally does anyone remember what that was for? You’re now aware of it, aren't you? Now I know this is a crude example but ...

A Moolb's Words: Day 159 - Why capitALISe?
http://moolb.blogspot.com/2009/05/day-159-why-capitalise.html
Monday, May 11, 2009. Day 159 - Why capitALISe? Website of the day: One Sentence. As the tag line goes, "True stories, told in one sentence". Reading the one sentence stories is interesting, curious and fun. Even more engaging, however, is looking at the tags people add to their sentences, which sometimes make you read it an whole different light:. When it took me 40 minutes to get from Colorado to Iowa while zoomed in on Google Maps using the arrow keys, I realized biking there wouldn't be an option.

Thursday, May 14, 2009. Day 162 - Time to Accomplish. That's the title of my favourite soul song from the seventies. I just performed another case of my recent habit - typing Ctrl-S after I finish each sentence, a habit picked up by typing for too long in word processors and a fear of sudden inexplicable shutdown, destroying each sentence I fought for so long to pluck from the minds of my betters. That's enough, you greedy word goblins. Links to this post. Monday, May 11, 2009. Day 159 - Why capitALISe?

Friday, January 30, 2009. Day 59 - Sammy "Three Times" Johnson Q. I managed to get most of that group theory sheet done, and went to the class at 5pm. I also MUDded, ate lunch, and watched an Antonio Banderas film, where he taught ballroom dance. Through the electronic ether comes Daniel's cry of FAIL! Links to this post. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Day 58 - Some Things Stirring. In 24 hours of MUDding, I. I gained a total of 49 TMs, averaging to just over 2 per hour. That shows just what you can do wit...

Tuesday, March 27, 2007. A second post. All I really have to say is:. Kebab vans are so bad for you, but they're still so good. What's with. Links to this post. Gone mad with loneliness. As it is down on the list twice, today I will blog twice. Some people enjoy showers. Some like the stimulating variety of just not knowing how they will wash in the mornings. Some, naming no names, believe that washing removes part of the soul, so refuse to do it on religious grounds. 1) Lying down beats standing up.

A Moolb's Words: Day 137 - Dorothea Hamilton Fyfe
http://moolb.blogspot.com/2009/04/day-137-dorothea-hamilton-fyfe.html
Saturday, April 18, 2009. Day 137 - Dorothea Hamilton Fyfe. Really, this is just too much. The jaw juts in an unbecoming fashion, and the Provost is never welcome where he treads too lightly. Let no man be your measure, while striking down that which shall measure too soon. For in these things we find the light, the laughter, and the wisdom which guides us over hillock and under dale. Can four sights pierce the fog? Or must obfuscation ever cripple us. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Gems of the Net.
