A Trifle Rushed : November 2013
http://www.atriflerushed.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 26 November 2013. Christmas Dinner - If you haven't time to prepare! We are in the middle of a house remodel. We are putting a new kitchen on the ground floor and the existing kitchen will then be transformed into a bedroom. ( A new bathroom and laundry area are being added downstairs too. I particularly loved the offerings from Waitrose. Turkey and all the trimmings. My husband and sons will love these. Even the vegetables are washed and prepared. Red cabbage is a great favourite here. I am in ...
A Trifle Rushed : Cook - John Lewis
http://www.atriflerushed.com/2014/12/cook-john-lewis.html
Tuesday, 2 December 2014. Cook - John Lewis. In the summer I was in my local John Lewis, browsing in the kitchen department, when I saw a magazine called Cook. It was lovely, full of inspiring recipes, crockery, kitchen linens, and useful utensils. The focus in the summer was salads and fish, and there were a few things that I bought for my house in Brittany. I was delighted to be asked to try some of the recipes, and sample some of the gift ideas. We decided to make the Christmas Spiced Truffles. If you...
A Trifle Rushed : Peppermint Bark
http://www.atriflerushed.com/2011/11/peppermint-bark.html
Wednesday, 9 November 2011. Last Christmas I bought some Peppermint Bark. It came in a beautiful tin, but on opening it I was disappointed, as it was little more then a bar of white chocolate studded with peppermint sweets. It was delicious, but there was very little to eat and very little change from £14.00! So in a desire to be thrifty, and make presents for friends, I thought I would investigate making my own Peppermint Bark this winter. Who, at the end of school, kindly thanked me and even more.
A Trifle Rushed : Doves Farm - Gluten Free Flours and Grains
http://www.atriflerushed.com/2014/12/doves-farm-gluten-free-flours-and-grains.html
Monday, 1 December 2014. Doves Farm - Gluten Free Flours and Grains. I have since used the chickpea flour, when I was making flatbreads to accompany a vegetable curry, and the grains in various dishes. It is wonderful to learn that Doves Farm are investing time and money in both growing and researching alternatives to wheat, and I believe that if you look at their website, which you can find here. Just Click Your Heels 123: One week
http://justclickyourheels123.blogspot.com/2011/12/one-week.html
Just Click Your Heels 123. Friday, 30 December 2011. Can you believe it? Almost a whole week has gone by. This time last week I was. At the allotment harvesting my Brussels sprouts ready for Christmas Day. And tugging my red cabbages out of the ground. You just can't beat braised red cabbage - delish! Gazing at the decorations on our tree, reminiscing and wondering HOW it was Christmas 2011. Didn't the year just fly by? Imagining all the food that we would be tucking into the next day. Hi, I'm Liz! Lovel...

Just Click Your Heels 123: December 2012
http://justclickyourheels123.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Just Click Your Heels 123. Monday, 31 December 2012. With only a few hours left to go of 2012 here is my review of the year. One of the early highlights of the year was celebrating Mr C's grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. It was lovely visiting Yorkshire, where they live. The day after the event we went to Howarth. How I love this place. Soon after this we moved in with Mr C's parents! A couple of months later we moved in to our new home! We were most excited to own a garden! I have to admit that I...

Perpetual Motion: February 2012
http://alwaysinperpetualmotion.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Running to catch up with myself. Wednesday, February 29. In a few minutes of post-school artistic activity, (whilst his laissez faire mother attended to some emails upstairs) Bounce absentmindedly ate his way through nearly a pound of dried apricots. When faced with his parents' laughing incredulity he innocently said. But I was hungry, and I'm allowed to eat fruit.". We await the consequences nervously. Picure from organixbenefits.com. Tuesday, February 7. Effective early morning alarm systems. At the v...

http://alwaysinperpetualmotion.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Running to catch up with myself. Thursday, July 26. Cycling in to town this morning, enjoying the early morning balmy warmth on our skin, we chatted idly of this and that until Lapin suddenly spluttered the following phrase with utter distain:. Mummy, why is that man wearing socks with sandals? And then with some surprise:. Why are you laughing? What is so funny about that? And finally in a disgusted tone:. And they were navy socks with cream sandals.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). People I like to visit.

Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon. I will prepare, and some day my chance will come.
