We do not recommend driving yourself home immediately after the vasectomy and will not allow you to drive yourself if you receive any sedation from us. Sedatives will impair your reflexes and make you a driving danger to yourself and others. Please make arrangement BEFORE you arrive to your appointment. The skin and contents of the scrotum can be more relaxed and the vas deferens can be more easily identified. ALL PATIENTS RECEIVING SEDATION WILL NEED A PERSON THEY KNOW TO PICK THEM UP. No patient who received sedation will be allowed to drive off of the premises. This requirement is for your safety.
