This week made me do a lot of thinking about my responsibility as a teacher to make sure students have the rights to read and use technology. It was fascinating to read the articles about the attempted banning of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Well, I decided to take this class because I wanted to become more open to less familiar genres and build my future classroom library, something that I realized is going to happen. I also really enjoyed reading everyone’s Pre-FOKIs; some definitely encouraged me to keep reading no matter what, and to be open to books I wouldn’t normally read. Asymp; 1 Comment. A Wrinkle in Time. And I will read them multiple times because they’re there on my bookshelf.
