Tomorrow morning he goes to “preschool.” It’s the Centers program. It is 2 days a week for 2 hours. That’s not a long time, but it’s tough to swollow. I broke down in tears today. Finding Our Way Into His World. Our journey on the spectrum. I’ve been mentally stuck. I’ve been so focused on all the things my son can’t do, all the milestones he hasn’t reach, that I have debilitated my son. I have gotten to the point I keep him (and myself) from any new experiences. I’m sure this will bring judgement, and that’s fine. I know I’m not the only mom who has felt this way. Today we tried something new. Salt Dough Handprint Ornaments. Is this going to be a positive experience for him?

1048 Days Ago…. November 19, 2013. 341 days ago, I posted a blurb about my son Jordan being on the waiting list at KidsAbility for Occupational Therapy to help with his autism and severe sensory issues. 341 days ago, we had already been waiting for 707 days. An until yesterday, we were still waiting. Yesterday we were told that Jordan is being pushed out of the system and that we would not be receiving any therapy from KidsAbility. This is the same organization that told us that they would provide it.
