Saturday, October 28, 2006. Soafter the project presentation, an exhausted team of six Americans and one Brit piled into the luxury matatu (with seats covered in plush fake giraffe skin) and drove off. To Murchison Falls, to the luxury (pretty comfortable by English campsite standards, and absolute luxury compared to Bugala) accommodation.complete with flushing toilets and running showers (freezing cold, but real showers, nonetheless).that was the Red Chilli campsite:. Friday, April 17, 2015. Our dear friends Sandy and Hugh Fones came up to spend a few days with us last weekend and took us to the Masters! It was absolutely gorgeous! The landscaping was breathtaking! It was so much fun seeing all of the golfers I've only ever seen on tv! We had a blast.AND we even made it on the local news! Tuesday, November 26, 2013. I truly am filled with mixed emotion as I write this blog entry! Excited.yes, and my heart is so warm as every day I see my handsome boy's personality blossom. A little melancholy, of course, because my baby is no longer a baby.he's a toddler.quickly going from toddling to running! He truly is such a sweet blessing to my life. He is a quiet little thing and loves exploring everywhere! Poor guy can hardly see over the table without it! He much more prefers slides to the swings&...

Saturday, November 04, 2006. My first Uganda birthday. Very funky card and present from Jo - which she got in Mbale. And my desk as it was at the end of the day, with all the flowers and cards and gifts.including the tinsel tiara and the medal I had to wear for lunch. This doesn't include the blueberry muffins which Julie and Trish got up early to bake for my breakfast, or the yummy chocolate cake that Jessica, Sophia and Maddie baked for lunch.Americans certainly know how to bake! Monday, May 28, 2007. In mid-March Leah, Megan and I travelled to Tanzania for 5 days to visit Tanya. This involved a long overnight 20 hour bus ride via Nairobi in Kenya before we finally reached Tanzania. This photo was taken on the road soon after we crossed the border into Tanzania. Another road photo, but with some mountains visible in the distance - one of which is Mount Meru - on the left I think.a mountain close to Arusha, where Tanya lives. The crater floor - huge! Giraffe and lake behind. Misty...

Thursday, July 9, 2015. This little nugget of sugar is 11 months! Each day is more and more fun with this little sweet boy.but it still doesn't change the fact that he's not allowed to grow up this fast! He is a little booger.he has us all wrapped around his little finger! He loves the beautiful chaos of our house.and likes to be right in the middle of everything! He's mastered crawling up the stairs and giggles the entire way as he glances back so proud of himself to make sure we all de him! Isabella - ...
