http://darleycommunityartgarden.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Darley Community Art Garden. How Can You Help? Thursday, 18 June 2015. Everyone is welcome to attend this workshop. We will be using the trees at DCAG for Jeff to show us how to prune fruit trees. And for those who are thinking of planting their own trees, Jeff Jones Plants and Produce on the Avenue have bare rooted fruit trees in stock. So you can come and learn, then put it into practice at home. The session will be followed by the regular Bacchus Marsh Produce Swap. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Saturday, November 15, 2014. Here Comes More Trouble. All over the world. At the eleventh hour. On the eleventh day. Of the eleventh month. There was a lot of trouble. Then for a lot of people. Saturday, November 15, 2014. On The Occasion Of A Fun Run/Walk Up A Mountain. We stand at the point. Where our people will turn. Off road into the last four hundred. Cameras ready. Intent. We steady ourselves for. Appearances of extreme importance. We clap winners politely. We are not there for. Fast runners, most of us. We are waiting for winners of a. Thus we stare unseeing. At other peoples’ people. As they stoically sprint, stagger or stride. Up the last scenic slope. If I do not keep my eyes. View m...

Saturday, November 8, 2014. On Watching Australia Play South Africa At The MCG on TV. It's difficult for them. To make runs. I shouldn't. The Outs by stumps. The night sky shimmies. With a chaotic community. Of bugs, invisible by day. To dance a wild jig. The jargon slips from. And when twenty overs. Are done, and our boys. Win easy, I'm happy! It only takes one victory. Saturday, November 8, 2014. On Watching The Melbourne Cup With My Mother. So they all strut their stuff at first with blankets. Providing name and number. Much chatter about whose chances are better,. Why the favourite is favoured. The numbers tell only half a story. They will. Leap from stalls chosen by lottery. All this photographic technology gives us views. From every angle. Replays will. Dissect a jockey's winning strategy, with shots. Of the last eight hundred from above. They were only the prologue.

Jaywig's Jotter: April 2014
http://jaywig.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Poetic Asides Days 25 to 29. There’s never a last straw. Where there’s war. There’s always another. Straw in war -. Straws galore, on the wind. And the jets bring more. There are the many straws. The mothers bore -. Those lads and larrikins. Walked out the door. The wounds raw, deaths. Perhaps there was in fact. For some a last straw. The legacy of war. I expected to cry. Isn’t that what the mothers do? I expected lots of conversation. Instead the priest and chanter. The stars ...

Darley Community Art Garden. How Can You Help? Wednesday, 22 October 2014. The pizza oven is in progress. Yesterday finished the insulated base to the oven [50mm calcium silicate board covered with castable mortar] and when it's cured we can lay the tiles out that will form the cooking floor and can then start to create the shell of the oven. Next working bee to work on the oven will be November 1 from 10am. If you want to help email us at darleycag@gmail.com. Garlic chives - even the flowers are edible.
