Adventures Down the Dirt Road: June 2013
http://back40living.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 28, 2013. Before the summer began I tried to make a list of "must dos." You know, all those things you just have to do when you have the time to do them. At the top of the list was a trip to the Zoo. We are very lucky to live within an hour drive to ours. We also wanted to be sure to take two very special people with us. My grandparents! We all had a great time. Fortunately it wasn't too hot and there was lots of shade! Friday, June 21, 2013. Which came first, the egg or the chicken? I can h...
Adventures Down the Dirt Road: Snow Day Fun!
http://back40living.blogspot.com/2014/01/snow-day-fun.html
Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Snowmegedon" has come and gone leaving behind a beautiful layer of soft snow, something we don't see very often here in the South. It tried to snow a couple weeks ago, but all that was left behind was an icy mix. This time we got legit snow that is both fun to look at and play in. Of course it has also shut everything down so we are enjoying a snow day at home! Although it wasn't the best for snowman making, a certain little girl did love making snow angles and sledding!
Adventures Down the Dirt Road: November 2012
http://back40living.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 6, 2012. With family pictures/2 year pictures upon us we bit the bullet and went ahead with Ella Ruth's first hair cut. As much as I wanted to wait until after her 2nd birthday her bangs were getting out of control. Because she isn't the biggest fan of bows or hair ties, keeping it out of her face was getting harder and harder. I wish my salon was that fancy! Taking it all in! On race day I was worried I wouldn't finish but I DID! I just may have to do it too! When we first moved into o...
Adventures Down the Dirt Road: July 2013
http://back40living.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Before summer began I made a list of things I'd like to do with Ella Ruth. Kindermusik was one of those! Because of my work schedule I often miss out on doing these type of classes because so many happen in the middle of the day. I was really excited to find a simple two week class that we could enjoy together! ER mostly enjoys the parts of class where she explore new instruments. Her favorite has been the drums! We have had a great time! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Adventures Down the Dirt Road: Life Changing Overnight Oats
http://back40living.blogspot.com/2015/01/life-changing-overnight-oats.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Life Changing Overnight Oats. A few months ago I decided my eating habits needed a change. Over the last few years I had struggled with "stomach pain" that turned out to be a serious gall stone issue. When my baby boy was just 5 weeks old I had to have my gall bladder removed after a serious attack that landed me in the ER. Through the process I realized my diet was less than stellar. It was high in fat and sugar. Classic southern girl diet was in full effect! I am a believer a...

Friday, April 5, 2013. A long, way overdue post! Some of you are probably wondering what happened to me, and where I've been. I can assure you, I am still alive and I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I just started teaching eighth grade. A lot has changed in the months since I stopped blogging. Lollipops and Ladybugs: A Blog About Raising A Little Girl: One year pictures
http://candlewoodboones.blogspot.com/2012/07/one-year-pictures.html
Tuesday, July 3, 2012. We took Emorie to Bicentennial Park, Greensboro for her one year picture. This place is special to us. We got engaged here, took our engagement pictures here, and two years later, we took our maternity pictures when Emorie was on the way. It seemed only right we take her one year pictures there, too. She was way too interested in the park and what was happening around her to smile for the camera, but we still got some cute pictures. Posted by Angela D. Boone. Our Precious Baby Girl.
Lollipops and Ladybugs: A Blog About Raising A Little Girl: A Fun Fourth With MANY Celebrations!
http://candlewoodboones.blogspot.com/2012/07/fun-fourth-with-many-celebrations.html
Monday, July 9, 2012. A Fun Fourth With MANY Celebrations! Last year, Emorie was such a tiny little thing, we did not partake in any Fourth of July activities. Emorie, July 4th last year. We began our celebrations with a church picnic on July 1. Emorie loved playing with everyone, and although she was too little for the water slide, she still got her feet wet and loved it! She even got upset when we put her in her carseat to leave. Since we had so much fun celebrating our nation's birthday with a one-yea...
Lollipops and Ladybugs: A Blog About Raising A Little Girl: Emorie, 13 months UPDATE
http://candlewoodboones.blogspot.com/2012/07/emorie-13-months.html
Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Emorie, 13 months UPDATE. Because of the fever and hot temperatures, we haven't gone to the playground or swimming lately. We are actually planning a zoo trip or trip to the children's museum in the next few days. We definitely need a fun activity before I go back to work. Sharing her great-grandpa's birthday cake. Playing the bells and walking by myself! As for the developmental update, our girl is growing rapidly! She often surprises me but doing things or saying things I didn't...

Saturday, April 20, 2013. Just a cold, rainy Saturday. Good Saturday morning to you! After a week of warm, 70 degree weather, it is currently 48 degrees and raining. Lollipops and Ladybugs: A Blog About Raising A Little Girl: 22 months update
http://candlewoodboones.blogspot.com/2013/04/22-months-update.html
Sunday, April 7, 2013. It seems quite strange to think about skipping ten months of updates, but I guess better late than never, right? Here are some updates on our little lady:. Runs more often than she walks. Says "peas" and "gang you". Asks for things by name and in complete sentences ("I want my blankie.", "I want milk.", etc). Her English teacher mother is impressed that she is using the correct pronoun. :). Loves to eat almost all fruits, but dislikes watermelon. She also has begun calling things "...
