Tuesday, January 24, 2012. I was ready for a new recipe tonight. So I checked out a favorite recipe site. And decided to try this recipe. It will definitely be made in our house again :). 1 onion, chopped. 3 cloves garlic, minced (I only used one clove). 1 tablespoon olive oil. 2 teaspoons chili powder. 1 teaspoon dried oregano (I did add this but then read the reviews that most replaced it with cumin instead…so I added that also). 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes. 1 1/4 cups water. I add romaine lettuce (torn), a pear (diced), a bit of feta cheese, a handful of craisins, and a handful of walnuts (chopped). I just use Ken's Steak House Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette on top. I was trying to get a picture of the girls with him and he kept walking straight for me while pointing at me, I kept taking steps backwards to try and get away from him. But the girls finally got their picture with him and were very happy. Never mind that mom is now traumatized from it. :).
