The Adventures of an Amateur Anosmiac Baker Living in Alaska. In the Kitchen with Amy. Tuesdays with Dorie: Irish Soda Bread. It’s a no-brainer that if you’re in a cookbook cooking club, and there’s a recipe for Irish Soda Bread, that you choose to bake that recipe for the week of St. Patrick’s Day. These were a hit. The rolls were much saltier than I’d anticipated, but not overly so. It had that, “Wow, these are salty. . .it makes me want to keep eating! You can visit Carla at Chocolate Moosey. Mine had...

CamCupCakes: January 2009
http://camcupcakes.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Monday, 5 January 2009. I love making cut-out cookies. And I always think I'll love decorating them. These days, though, it always seems to be harder and more time-consuming than it was when I was little. And rarely do sugar cookies have the depth or interest in flavours that drop cookies do. CamCupCakes: June 2008
http://camcupcakes.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Thursday, 26 June 2008. Because I’m now home from college, I have very little to do during the day besides bake and go on my dad’s brand new treadmill (which is probably quite a good combination! Not everything I bake is worthy of display, but this one is, I think. I don’t usually follow a particular recipe, and this time, although I did browse the net a bit, was no real difference. I sort of followed this. Posted by afoneleri at 21:19.
CamCupCakes: May 2008
http://camcupcakes.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Sunday, 18 May 2008. I have less than a week until my exams start. It's stressing me out, but less so than I expected. One thing it has done, is reduced the amount of time I spend doing anything other than work. The frosting is coconut and cream cheese, and was absolutely lovely. No recipie I'm afraid. I can't be bothered to remember it, and I need to get back to work anyway. Lemon and White Chocolate Cupcakes with Coconut Cream Frosting.
CamCupCakes: February 2008
http://camcupcakes.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Thursday, 28 February 2008. I had a lot of fun making these. They're just very simple chocolate cupcakes - possibly made with a bit too much cocoa powder, as they did turn a little dry - with vanilla buttercream icing, half coloured blue. I got to experiment with my new piping bag again - and the cakes went down very well! Posted by afoneleri at 14:10. Tuesday, 26 February 2008. And for once stuck to it fairly closely. 1/2 tb plain flour.

Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Friday, 26 September 2008. I've wanted to try making a swiss roll for ages. It seems appropriate, given that I live in Switzerland. But I've always been kind of intimidated by the idea. I finally got around to searching for recipes a while back, and realised that they didn't sound that complicated. And as I have so much time on my hand. Posted by afoneleri at 08:41. Monday, 22 September 2008. Posted by afoneleri at 08:29. My family have al...

http://camcupcakes.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Thursday, 17 April 2008. It's been a busy week. My boyfriend visited, I had some driving lessons. And I've been lazy about updating. Also, I haven't gained anywhere near enough weight. But I've nearly got all my required Easter holiday revision work done. Which is a good thing, because my aunt, uncle and gran are bringing my new baby cousin over this afternoon to stay for the weekend. Posted by afoneleri at 12:19. Tuesday, 8 April 2008.

Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Saturday, 20 December 2008. Wowlong time no blog. I've had a busy term, and that, combined with a lack of oven, has kept me from any creative cooking or baking. But I'm back home now, and the countdown to Christmas is well and truly on, so I've been catching up. Just a quick post to start off with though. Posted by afoneleri at 21:42. Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Saturday, 29 March 2008. I've gained a pound! I never thought I'd say that, but anyway. I put it down, in part, to the brownies I made at my brother's request. I don't make brownies often, because they're so rich and slightly sinful, but they always get gulped down when I do. There's only one recipie I'll use though - Nigel Slater's Very good Brownie's recipie, which you can find here. Nigel Slater's Very Good Brownies. It feels odd to be ...

Cupcakes, cookies, and cooking in general from a student kitchen. Sunday, 31 August 2008. So I've been away for ages, and I only got back last night, so I'm a bit too tired to write a long post. India's Bakes & Cakes
India's Bakes and Cakes. Forgive me blogsphere for I have sinned, it’s been over four months since my last post! Sadly I haven’t indulged in much baking recently but this week for a family birthday I decided to go all out and make a yummy. Key lime pie. I’ve seen a lot of tutorials/posts for key lime pies and thought I’d try my own version of it as it makes a lovely alternative to traditional sponge cakes. The ‘pie’ (is it still ok to call it a pie if it has a biscuit base? 2 tbsps demerara sugar. 4 Next...
