bananaorangeapple: Maleficent - a movie review.
http://bananaquilts.blogspot.com/2014/06/maleficent-movie-review.html
A blog about things I like. If you are interested in quilting, patchwork, children's literature and books in general, you've come to the right blog. Tuesday, 10 June 2014. Maleficent - a movie review. Maleficent is a fairy in a fairyland called The Moors where there are no kings or queens but all the magical creatures cooperate and look after each other's needs. I have not seen Sleeping Beauty so I didn't really know that Maleficent had a name or a part in the Disney film. 10 June 2014 at 05:40. Thank yo...

A blog about things I like. If you are interested in quilting, patchwork, children's literature and books in general, you've come to the right blog. Sunday, 8 March 2015. Recently I took my students on camp, which meant two three hour bus rides, so I had a look around for the perfect knitting project - not too complicated because I'm really only a beginner knitter but hard enough to keep me interested. Http:/ bigstories.com.au/story/recovery/film/barbara-joyce. I thought I'd like to try knitting a chook.

A blog about things I like. If you are interested in quilting, patchwork, children's literature and books in general, you've come to the right blog. Wednesday, 13 August 2014. Https:/ www.flickr.com/photos/arterracini/13924919586/. I've been thinking of spring lately . We've had a run of freezing cold weather, and it is hard to get up and out the door when it's still below zero in the morning. Still I'm glad that I live in a place with four distinct seasons. The majority of Australia does not. The sky loo...

Here's the view up my driveway on a winter morning. It's nice that the sun is rising earlier and earlier each day. Waking up in the darkness is no fun. No frost today, a light misty rain is wafting through the air. Here is another winter's. 29 July 2014 at 17:14. That first image would make a supper painting. visiting from Cast Team.

A blog about things I like. If you are interested in quilting, patchwork, children's literature and books in general, you've come to the right blog. Thursday, 22 January 2015. I have had some holidays from my day job, so for the last few weeks I have been working pretty much full time on my Etsy shop. I signed up for a market in January and I wanted to have lots of stock, so I started sewing rompers. Then I spent several hours overlocking all of the rompers and then ironing all of them. If there was a wh...

Thursday, September 22, 2011. Six more aprons . . . yes, six. It looks like I've been pretty busy this week, with all these aprons! Though, each apron takes about an hour from cutting to final sewing, so it's not as impressive as it looks. lol. These six aprons (and the first from a few days ago. Were cut on Sunday and ironed/sewn throughout the week. Ivory w/ turquoise, brown, and yellow flowers. This is my favorite! So many cotton fabrics! Have an idea for an apron fabric? Even more aprons coming soon!

Design something new every week in January (for Spring), March (for Summer), June (for Fall), and September (for Winter). Week of Jan 6-12). Confession: I actually designed and sketched this a few weeks ago.). Frilly Blouse/Sweater with waist tie. I love wearing shirts which emphasize the natural waistline for 3 reasons:. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. I have decided that seamstresses should not spend extended periods of time in school. As in, 16 years is waaaaay too much! I am so glad to be finishing college a year early (this July! But I wish I could stop right now. All I want to do is sew, not write papers . . . Where did this spring fever come from? Well, I haven't sewn much over the past few years- not as much as I would have liked. The summer of '09, I spent lots of time sewing, and it was wonderful! Just when I think I c...

Friday, March 30, 2012. I have recently fallen in love with the tv show Fashion Star. On the show, a number up-and-coming designers create designs every week. Their models show off the clothing on the runway, then 3 department store executives (from Macy's, Saks 5th Avenue, and H&M) bid on their designs. Only one department store can purchase each design, if they desire, so the bidding can get pretty high sometimes. Since then, I have designed dresses, but I haven't made many. And I miss it so much!

Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Pumpkins and fall go together like peanut butter and jelly or . . . any other twin metaphor. So, of course, since the day we brought in 44 pumpkins from the garden a few weeks ago, I've been dying. To make yummy pumpkin cookies! Here's the recipe I tried, and pictures of my process :). 1 cup butter, softened. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1 cup canned pumpkin. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1 teaspoon baking soda. W/ and w/o (I ...

Thursday, July 21, 2011. A Homemade Wedding Spectacular! Since I began sewing at the age of four, I have wanted to sew a wedding dress- most importantly, MY wedding dress. After a whirlwind romance in December and January, the love of my life proposed to me on Valentine's Day 2011! We planned on an August 10th wedding. I had six months to make my wedding dress, three bridesmaid's dresses, four men's vests, and four bow ties- I had plenty of time. Cutting out the muslin test dress. Fabric and the perfect.
