I was reassuring him after contractions that everything was okay and we had plenty of time because I felt good afterwards, but beating the car door in the midst of contractions. I was bald headed until I was one so I was excited about that! She is the most beautiful precious being I’ve ever seen in all my life.

Building a Better Backyard Habitat. Saturday, April 11, 2015. The hummingbird babies left their nest on Thursday 9 April, 21 days after hatching. The two of them had gotten so big that they no longer fit in the nest. They were constantly moving about, fluttering their wings, and generally looking ready to go. Mom Hummer continued to feed them, but also spent a lot of time hovering and circling next to the nest. It looked like she was demonstrating and encouraging them to fly. Good luck, little guys.
