Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Four! | Barry Coombs Art Workshops
https://barrycoombs.wordpress.com/2015/04/29/spring-tuesday-watercolour-class-week-four-2
Barry Coombs Art Workshops. Learn Traditionally; Paint Creatively. Laquo; New Work at Art Etc, Art Gallery of Burlington. Spring Sustained Saturday Watercolour Class – May 2. Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Four! I don’t set up still lifes with a backdrop for a practical reason. A full class of twelve students wouldn’t work well if the tables were in a U shape. It doesn’t suit the available space. There are other reasons but that’s the main one. There were more surprises in store on Tuesday. ...

Barry Coombs Art Workshops. Learn Traditionally; Paint Creatively. Laquo; Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Five! Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Seven! Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Six! I concentrated on value and colour with my demonstrations. My main goal with value was to set off one or two light objects to as much advantage as possible. For example, in each painting, I’ve darkened the upper wooden bowl so it doesn’t compete with the brightly lit utensils. From your own site.

Barry Coombs Art Workshops. Learn Traditionally; Paint Creatively. Laquo; Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Six! Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Eight! Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Seven! You never know what the reaction will be when the students walk into the studio and see a new still life. Fortunately, the response to this pile of brick and stone was quite positive. As I mentioned, the response to the still life was positive but I may have understated it. The students real...

Barry Coombs Art Workshops. Learn Traditionally; Paint Creatively. Laquo; Spring Sustained Saturday Watercolour Class – May 2. Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Six! Spring Tuesday Watercolour Class – Week Five! This is a slightly simplified version of the still life from last Saturday as the Tuesday students have only three hours and not a whole day to develop their work. The essence is the same; warm colours set off by cool. Did I say three hours? Feed You can leave a response. From your own site.

http://hw-art-hw-art.blogspot.com/2010/12/sonntagmaltag.html
Montag, 20. Dezember 2010.

ATELIER DE LA PETITE MER. Scott Cooper Studio: November 2012
http://scottcooperstudio.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
A journey through life in paint. Wednesday, November 7, 2012. I originally painted this several months ago for a school group presentation at Visual Arts Mississauga. An introduction to creating a painting from the ground up, as it were. I've since been asked to add some explanatory text to the step-by-step photos and post it for others, so here goes. There are some general guidelines worth keeping in mind, not just for landscape, but for most painting:. Not jab, dab or stab. A good starting place is to ...

A journey through life in paint. Thursday, March 20, 2014. I'm continuing to work digitally in the Open Life Drawing Studio at Visual Arts Mississauga. I think it's really pushing me to improve my digital drawing and painting skills. A few examples from tonight's session, all done using SketchBook Pro and a Wacom tablet. Posted by Scott Cooper. AT HOME AND ON THE ROAD: October 2012
http://athomeandontheroad.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
AT HOME AND ON THE ROAD. Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Pumpkins, Treats, and Critters good and bad. Well, here we are in the middle of October with the cooler temps, rain, and pumpkins gracing every corner. I always feel so sorry for the neighbors who get their pumpkins on the porch steps before all the others, why? Anyway, enough about squirrels. Oh wait, did I say that I have the small red type living under my deck, also a few chipmunks, and a rabbit? At least they haven't returned yet. So when I saw th...

AT HOME AND ON THE ROAD: Un Petit Morceau
http://athomeandontheroad.blogspot.com/2013/02/un-petit-morceau.html
AT HOME AND ON THE ROAD. Friday, February 1, 2013. When just a small bit of sugar is needed.try this. Put some dried prunes and pecans in the food processor until chopped up. Roll the mixture into small balls and then refrigerate overnight. The next day, melt some dark chocolate in the microwave just till warm. Now dip the prune and nut balls in the chocolate and place on parchment paper to harden off. Store these in a cool place. Eat one whenever you have a craving for something sweet. God, I Love Paris.

Artist’s Statement and Short History. October 16, 2011. Linda Halcomb's Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. January 18, 2010. I wanted to share photos of my extraordinarily supportive family. I couldn’t do this without their patience and companionship. Little Bear, a 14 year old, 5 pound toy Pomeranian died in my arms in August, 2011. She is hiding out behind a music stand I use for an easel. Sassy and independent she LOVED napping on Daddy's lap. Baxter waiting for a squirrel to raise its sassy head.
