Interior Alchemy: January 2010
http://theinterioralchemist.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Ideas, musings and inspiration from a professional decorator. Thursday, January 14, 2010. I love Photo Walls. They are. So smart and such a great way to display family photos or any other subject you'd like. Finding the right frames and then arranging them on the wall is pretty tricky and can get very expensive. I've discovered a great Company that takes all the pain out of it and for a very reasonable price. The Picture Wall Company. And start imagining the possibilities. Links to this post.

Ideas, musings and inspiration from a professional decorator. Thursday, October 16, 2014. What about the Fifth Wall. Painting the ceiling can be so effective. White ceilings just end up looking dirty grey because of the shadows. I do a lot of designs on ceilings but honestly, just a bit of colour will transform your room. Interior Alchemy: December 2009
http://theinterioralchemist.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Ideas, musings and inspiration from a professional decorator. Friday, December 18, 2009. Mirror, Mirror on the wall. I saw this mirror in a Pottery Barn catalog and really loved it, however, apart from being too expensive, it was way too big for my little apartment. THEN, I found some mirrors at Walmart on sale! They were actually meant to hold candles but as soon as I saw them, I knew they'd be perfect. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bespoke Decorative Finishes Featured on Houzz.

Interior Alchemy: Decorative rollers - yes or no
http://theinterioralchemist.blogspot.com/2014/11/decorative-rollers-yes-or-no.html
Ideas, musings and inspiration from a professional decorator. Friday, November 21, 2014. Decorative rollers - yes or no. Recently I worked for a client who had bought a Decorative Roller online and wanted me to use it on her walls. I was decorating her hall, stairs and landing and would be using scaffolding, so I thought I'd better check it out carefully before saying yes. The roller is quite ingenious in the way it works but has a few quirks and limitations you need to be aware of. The design fades in a...

Ideas, musings and inspiration from a professional decorator. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Workshops for Decorative Painting. The finished product is varnished and sanded to help the illusion of a stone finish. Subscribe To ...

Ideas, musings and inspiration from a professional decorator. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Do this for me for free and the exposure will get you loads of work". How many times have you heard that and how, as a woman, do you react to it? Do you find it hard to say no? Do you find yourself giving away your talents and getting nothing in return? This question came up at a Networking Meeting recently and I thought I'd let you know my thoughts. What exactly are they going to do for you? Another problem that cam...
