Thursday, July 12, 2012. One month in and things are flying by here in Liberia. For the last couple of weeks I have been living with my host family, the Farrahs. They are from a county in the North called Lofa County and, as is tradition here, gave me a local name: Saa. It’s hard for me to summarize the last few weeks into one post so I’ll just randomly give you tidbits of things.with little to no context of course. I promise my blog will get better when I have more time to write. 8221; which means tasty.

Wednesday, August 29, 2012. It started out as a normal day here in Vaye Town. Andy and I walked down to a stream near our house to collect some soil to start planting some seeds. We made a bunch of seedling holders and were about halfway done planting a mix of green beans, tomatoes, and chives, when we heard yelling about someone falling off the bridge.
