Random Thoughts From a Person in Pursuit of God. The title of this blog is taken from A.W. Tozer's book "The Pursuit of God" because I consider Tozer one of my spiritual mentors and friends, even though I never knew him. Wednesday, October 08, 2008. Maybe he is right that his congregation does need that sort of couple. But it really seems to me that this case and the many others are indicative of the lie that Protestantism has largely embraced, namely, that being married is better and more edifying t...

It seems like only in the world of youth ministry could there be a blog post written that encompasses vampires, romance, and monasticism. Or maybe it could only happen in my mind - I'm not sure. I was over on Anna's blog (.

Karen & Brian- A lifelong experiment in God's grace and love: March 2006

Karen and Brian- A lifelong experiment in God's grace and love. Thursday, March 09, 2006. Thought for the day. I remembered a remark by Lewis, who drew a distinction between communicating with a society that hears the gospel for the first time and one that has embraced and then largely rejected it. A person must court a virgin differently than a divorcée, said Lewis. One welcomes the charming words; the other needs a demonstration of love to overcome inbuilt skepticism. Todd Agnew, "My Jesus":. Complimen...

The lasers and fireworks illuminated the entire gorge, while illustrating several popular American songs. The high falls are illumated duing the entire show. Posted by Karen and Brian at 11:17 AM. Karen and Brian- A lifelong experiment in God's grace and love. Friday, October 13, 2006. As much as we prefer warm weather, the first snow of the season is still a beautiful thing to see. The roads were simply wet but we did have to clean off our car. The dusting of snow and changing leaves mixed with a beautiful sunrise make a beautiful image. This picture does not accurately depict the first snow of the year in Western New York. Some regions around Buffalo reported more than TWO FEET. The movie "The D...

Karen and Brian- A lifelong experiment in God's grace and love. Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Celebrating the Fourth of July. We celebrated the Fourth of July with a traditional cookout and fresh corn on the cob. We invited some friends from our college days and reminisced over fresh black grapes and Spanish cheese we discovered at Wegmans. We had a blast telling stories and looking at pictures from recent adventures and weddings of friends. Posted by Karen and Brian at 11:45 AM. Comments: Post a Comment.

Karen & Brian- A lifelong experiment in God's grace and love: Jobs vs. Relationships
http://karenandbrian.blogspot.com/2006/10/jobs-vs-relationships.html
Karen and Brian- A lifelong experiment in God's grace and love. Monday, October 02, 2006. Jobs vs. Relationships. Karen and I visited the local (walking distance from our apartment) dollar theater on Saturday. We wanted to see Cars but the internet listed times were not correct and we missed the start. So, instead of Cars, we decided to watch "The Devil Wears Prada." Being a guy, I wasn't totally sold on the movie. Cars definitely had a greater "title appeal" to me. Also, we bought our first NEW CAR!
