Rehearsal week - blog 2. This weekend I have spent a lot of time thinking about my character: what's her back story? What happened before the play to get her into this predicament and can she see her way out? What is important to her? What relationships does she have? What do people think of her? What does she tell the world and what does she keep to herself? What are her primal needs and desires? What does her inner dialogue sound like? What's her journey? What's her point of view? I am currently directing two stories for Liars League Leicester, a themed monthly fiction night, where professional actors read new short stories by writers from around the world.
