Fur of the outcasts- Works in progress. Sunday, 6 July 2014. It's been a while. It's been a while since I blogged. But things are happening behind the scenes (slowly). To get back into the spirit of things, and clear out my smart phone 'notes', here is the work of some names I jotted down from the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2013. Roy Eastland's. Silverpoint drawing portraits were of obvious interest and beauty to me. And my favourite, dance wallpaper. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Its been a while.

Fur of the outcasts- Works in progress. Monday, 17 December 2012. I'm liking day 16. Thursday, 13 December 2012. A few years back I met the lovely Eveline. As well as some wonderful conversations I got to watch her quietly sit and draw. What a talented lady. Nip over and have a look at her beautiful, fun and quirky work. I love the bumble bee! Saturday, 1 December 2012. That time of year again. I look forward to this every year, an advent calender with a difference over at Christmas is happening.

I wanted to find a line,. A tone, a place where touch might see,. And sight might touch. Where an expression might belong for a moment. Set, in sediment, crystallized. Where once it bubbled, popped, appeared, happened. Now, A soft clinging, a hinting, on edge,. An awkward visual hum,. Jaded, but marked. Fleeting images and happenings punctuate my process, tarnished with reflections, grasped, held, crystallised, and treasured as such. Lifted too from their relative worthlessness, are the mundane materials...

fur of the outcasts- Works in progress: November 2010
http://furoftheoutcasts.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Fur of the outcasts- Works in progress. Sunday, 21 November 2010. One day I would like to draw this eagle. The eagle was sat on a favourite perch. One of his eyes was watching the approach of Angus and it was more or less blank. What are you watching with that left eye? You have good eyesight.' said Angus. Scottish folk and fairytales. Ps Progr...
