Strive for Progress, Not Perfection. Why is this here? Zzzzz’s and why you need plenty of them! As a baker/pastry cook I work unusual hours i.e. 3am-11am, and boy has it had an impact on my body! Since I started to working these hours almost 3 years ago my average hours of sleep a night have been 4.5-5 and my weight has crept up from about 61kg to 67kg. I think I must not be ready for the fitness change I keep thinking I want to make because I haven’t been very consistent over the past few months with working out or eating well. I started off the year well but I just fell off and haven’t found the will to get back on the health and fitness train. Hmm…does this yoyo-ing sound familiar? What am I still up to? How I Track (2016 update). I take my monthly measurements twice a month, right at the beginning (or as close as I can remember) and about midway (likewise about remembering). The following measurements come from a scale I have at home: Wt weight in kg (previously in pounds ) / Bf body fat % / W water % / BD bone density.
