Be inspired by ICT in the Primary Classroom: April 2012
http://beinspiredbyict.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Be inspired by ICT in the Primary Classroom. Some ICT stories from a school in Norfolk, by Sheli Blackburn. Saturday, April 14, 2012. The digital leader network. So this blog has been a bit neglected lately, mostly because of the growing Digital Leader Network. Employing digital leaders at school really got me thinking about how this could be a great way of sustaining ICT developments in school and it has really taken off. If you are interested and want to read more, check out the digital leader blog.

Carry on Learning: March 2015
http://carryonlearning.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Reflections of a lifelong learner. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Creating iBooks in year 2. I have blogged about the Book Creator app. Before, but have learned how to print our iBooks this week, so thought I would dedicate a post to them. I know printing is not the point of them, but until we are at the point where our children have their own Dropbox or wiki spaces it's the only way they get to keep their work. You can see their work on the class blog. And check out the learning@home pages. Being SENDco part ...

Carry on Learning: July 2014
http://carryonlearning.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Reflections of a lifelong learner. Sunday, July 27, 2014. More post Game of Thrones reading. Before you read on, don't expect a critically written post about books I have read; this is merely a list of books that I have managed to read (and enjoyed) during a busy term at school. As always 'scuse the grammar/typos. I'm not great at proof reading my own work (as proved this week when I was mortified at missing out an apostrophe. Eeek! I no longer have the right to criticise those who add them willy-nilly!

Carry on Learning: Digital Literacy
http://carryonlearning.blogspot.com/2015/04/digital-literacy.html
Reflections of a lifelong learner. Sunday, April 12, 2015. When I first created the Digital Literacy page for my iPad site. I took the title literally and included all sorts of great apps to support children's developing literacy skills. Then I read other educators' work, such as Doug Belshaw's, which pointed me in the direction of things like Future Lab's ideas, from It's Not Chalk and Talk Any More. This made me realise that I needed to change my thinking - and the website page! In their computing guide.

Be inspired by ICT in the Primary Classroom: Crazy talk!
http://beinspiredbyict.blogspot.com/2012/01/crazy-talk.html
Be inspired by ICT in the Primary Classroom. Some ICT stories from a school in Norfolk, by Sheli Blackburn. Saturday, January 7, 2012. Crazy talk 6 is a great piece of software that will allow you to animate photographs. This can help you bring all sorts of characters into your classroom, which is very useful if you use drama techniques such as mantle of the expert. Underneath each blog is the link that will take you to another blog, which will put each 'character' in context. To visit the gnome's post.

Carry on Learning: November 2014
http://carryonlearning.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Reflections of a lifelong learner. Saturday, November 29, 2014. Another super little app for early programming. Like ALEX this will appeal to my year 2 children because it involves robots. There are some great things about this free app too. Firstly, you have to complete the first levels before you can unlock and access the harder ones. There are 24 levels altogether- pretty good for a freebie! With turns, grabs and drops. The notion of 'if at first you don't succeed.' is great, but I don't want chil...

Carry on Learning: Bugs and buttons
http://carryonlearning.blogspot.com/2015/05/bugs-and-buttons.html
Reflections of a lifelong learner. Sunday, May 3, 2015. This morning I am exploring some more apps that are great for EYFS and children with SEN in ks1. Little Bit studio have made a range of 'bug' apps that look beautiful, because of the brightly coloured high-definition graphics. They definitely feel like the high quality resource you would want to be using in the classroom. I will share her views once I have them. A quick snapshot of some of the games. Here are the other games that you can play. Find ...

Carry on Learning: Blox 3d world
http://carryonlearning.blogspot.com/2015/04/blox-3d-world.html
Reflections of a lifelong learner. Friday, April 24, 2015. This evening I've been having a quick play with Blox 3d world, which was free yesterday via apps gone free. I liked the look of it because it reminded me of kodu, but on the iPad. Granted it doesn't allow you to program elements like kodu, in fact it is very basic, but I've still had fun creating my very own Westeros. There are some tutorials that you can watch, which will show you how to create things based on the type of world you want to build.

Be inspired by ICT in the Primary Classroom: Digital leaders
http://beinspiredbyict.blogspot.com/2011/12/digital-leaders.html
Be inspired by ICT in the Primary Classroom. Some ICT stories from a school in Norfolk, by Sheli Blackburn. Tuesday, December 13, 2011. This post describes the process of 'employing' digital leaders at. Over the last few years keeping up with new techology has been a challenge and, in terms of time, difficult to manage. Trialling new resources and evaluating the benefits adds to any workload and sharing new ideas takes more time and organisation. The interviews spread across one morning. The children...
