Overcoming The Food Barrier. My wife and I recently traveled through Europe for a month. We spent time in France, Italy, and Turkey. It was an amazing experience, both of us had been before, but we wanted to go together. And we enjoyed every moment of it, including the 1o and a half hour direct flight to Paris and back. Wednesday, January 15, 2014. It takes HEART to be a HERO. Most of you are familiar with Tristan and her heart story and the courageous times she has undergone surgery. Tristan is now 6 1/2 years old, in Kindergarten, and LOVING every minute of it! For the first time ever she gets to participate in something called "Jump Rope for Heart", a program that teaches children healthy habits, ways to prevent heart disease, and helps fund programs and research for those with Congenital Heart defects.
