Thursday, September 15, 2011. Last week we started an art class that a friend of mine was offering for kids. She did an awesome job, teaching the kids primary and secondary colors, the rainbow, etc. She also sent home a "what we learned today" page! It can be a "drop and go" event where moms can go do other things during art time! Last week I ended up running my 3 miles, so that was great for me! Monday, August 15, 2011. A few Orlando adventures. One night in Orlando we went to the largest Mcdonalds, or the largest play area, I'm not sure which one it is. But, some other soldiers and their families went with us and the girls had a ball with a few older girls! Although these pictures really show Nate having the ball! Monday, June 27, 2011. I wish I had a picture! Ok, so we have been so busy the last week that I have really slacked on the house chores. So, today is the day. Laundry, dishes, bathrooms, floors, windows, straightening up - you get the gist! Well, like any other day, there is no such thing as doing anything uninterrupted (even by myself bc I get off on tangents! I decide to give it a shot, make all the food, serve the princesses out by the pool, serve Nate and then try to decide what I might want for lunch.

Saturday, August 21, 2010. When Nate was home, he took the girls on a date by themselves. Abigail got to go clothes shopping for school and do her favorite things at the mall (getting pretzels and seeing "cats and dogs.) And Maddie got to go bowling. Friday, October 28, 2011. So, we decided to have a Pumpkin Fun Day! We invited Aunt Becka, Reagan and Rileigh to come up and join us. We had a ton of fun and took a ton of pictures :-). Abigail sorted all the pumpkins from smallest to largest. Maddie hanging out with Ri as we waited for the fun to happen! Coloring and putting together our "How Pumpkins Grow" book. Measuring the circumference of each pumpkin. Preparing to weigh their pumpkins. Do the pumpkins float or sink? Stayed tuned for more fun.

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Our Chick Fil A is awesome! Every Tuesday night, kids eat free, and they usually do something cool for them (or a reason to dress up.) This particular Tuesday it was Princess and Pirates! I totally forgot about it until we were close to the restaurant, so I ran into a nearby store and bought whatever Princess stuff I could find! They got free kids meals, their fingernails painted, a treasure map, and a ride on a horse drawn carriage! Princess and Pirates (2). They are too funny!

Monday, October 31, 2011. Pumpkin Fun Day (3) (10-17-11). The best part continued. Maddie trying to smile with a mouth full of pie in a cup! The pumpkins are finally dry! Pooped already. and we're not finished yet! Time to cut the pumpkin and see what's inside! What they really thought about sticking their hands in the pumpkin! Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Talk about an extremely stressful and challenging day - let me give you the readers digest version. (as only I can do! The morning, following a very interesting and slightly depressing evening, got off to a very sluggish start. Eating a not so great breakfast, and feeling "not so well" this week :-P landed us at the gym with only an hour to exercise - take away chatting with a friend and signing the girls up for gymnastics (fun! I felt terrible, it was ugly, and it really hurt!

Sunday, June 27, 2010. This is a little video that shows how my children REALLY feel about dressed up characters! Saturday, June 26, 2010. This video is a bit long, but oh so cute! Heidi came to visit for a weekend and the girls had so much! They learned more about play-doh and how to make Mama birds, eggs, nests and then baby birds. We looked up birds on the computer that matched the color of play-doh they chose to use - such a fun time! We loved having Heidi here and we all wish she lived MUCH closer!
