Friday, February 28, 2014. Started sitting up a couple of weeks ago. It’s wonderful and has helped with his spitting up immensely! We cut out his 10 pm dream feed last weekend. Ah, finally! It’s so nice to feed him at around 8 and then put him down for the rest of the night. He sleeps through the night until 7:30 the next morning. (He sometimes needs a binky around 6:30, or a couple times in the night, but I have no complaints! But sometimes, it’s still 45 minutes—not so magical. I’ve also hit the ...

Friday, April 17, 2015. Birthday at the Beach. Be ready for an absolute picture overload. I'll use few words to make up for the picture mayhem. Last weekend our Ruda family spent the weekend at the most gorgeous house in Newport to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday. We weekend was wonderful! The table fit all of us! We ate some good meals together! Art time with Grandma. Great picture of Sammy and Seth (at least I got a natural smile out of one of them.). It was hilarious to watch! Papa pitying poor Joshy.

Thursday, March 19, 2015. He's not a great independent player inside, mostly because all he wants to do is color or brush his teeth; however, outside he's a champ. He's content for hours and wants to go outside first thing in the morning. Dirt, sand, balls, water, tools.he's definitely all boy. Grossest moment of the month: discovering him stealing half-eaten ice cubes from our puppy and sticking them in own mouth. Disgusting! He learned how to put hats (or boxes) on this month. Monday, March 31, 2014. I just read over last month’s update on Josh. Goodness! With babies a lot can happen in one month! Josh cut his first tooth! He was a bit fussy with it, but no ear infection and not a lot of lost sleep. We finally weaned off that darn swaddle. Victory! We love all his new sleep positions off the swaddle. Our joyful life raising two daughters. Saturday, April 14, 2012. The plan for the evening was for the girls to have an evening at Dammy and Papa's home while Scott and I headed the Emergency Services banquet dinner. However, Elise came down with a stomach bug last night so plans changed. The girls were really disappointed that they could not go play at Dammy and Papa's house. So we improvised! Oh, and we upgraded our camera. That always elicits lots of picture taking. So far, I love it! A Book and A Baby.

Our joyful life raising two daughters. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. May has been wonderful! We have had lots of opportunities to travel! From Lakeview to Government Camp to see Melissa and Matt, back to Bend. The girls and I cheered on Team OSP SWAT at the Pole, Peddle, Paddle! It was fun to spend some time at Mt. Bachelor, but really disappointing that we did not get to ski. Only daddy made a really great run to lead his team. The girls paying at the Old Mill District after the big race. Awe, my FAVORITE!

Friday, March 9, 2018. Jamie's Parents Visit Mexico. January 30 - February 5, my parents came to visit us, journeying on their first international trip. It makes me smile remembering having them here in our lives, sharing this culture and adventure with them. It truly was a special time. Our first full day together, we started by taking a drive through the Huesteca mountains. We never tire of seeing and sharing the unique cliffs and untamed land that is only 15 minutes from our house. Papa with the boys.
