The Larsens: Um, hello giraffes!
http://satrickah.blogspot.com/2012/08/um-hello-giraffes.html
Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Um, hello giraffes! So we touch down in Nairobi, pass through customs, drive across town and show up to Giraffe Manor with average expectations. I mean, sure, the website photos were great - but how realistic can it really be? Um Yeah. This realistic. Oh, not enough for you? Ok, how about this one. I have lost my mind and kissed a Giraffe! There were warthogs all over the property. Literally the funniest animal I have ever seen. I can't get "Hakuna Matata" out of my head. Balgud...

The Larsens: January 2011
http://satrickah.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. I've been bugging Patrick for a few weeks about taking me on a date. Like a real "pick you up at 6, wear something cute" type date. I'm tired of being in charge of planning EVERYTHING. (Minus picking where we eat, he always gets to pick where we eat). I mean, I know I've got it good and I'm lucky that we even have time to hang out regardless of who's planning, but does anyone else feel like this has happened to them? Take me to mini-golf OR ELSE! Wednesday, January 19, 2011.

The Larsens: November 2011
http://satrickah.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Best Meal. Ever. I'm coming out of overwhelmed-with-life-induced hiding to share the following recipes. You're welcome. Want to knock your lover's socks off? Also, want to die from a saturated fat induced coma? This steak recipe is seriously the BEST. I have made it with clearance Rib-eyes and NY Strips and those $5 steaks taste better than some I've spent $30 on in a restaurant! Anyways, enough of that. Here are the recipes (just copied and pasted from the website)! For a pan...

J&A&J&R: el train - the bean - museum of science and industry
http://petersenstakemanhattan.blogspot.com/2013/06/el-train-bean-museum-of-science-and.html
Who are we kidding? Youre here for J&R. Monday, June 17, 2013. El train - the bean - museum of science and industry. This was the day I was going to go down to Hyde Park and catch a glimpse of Kari's life, pre-wedded bliss. Go see where her wedding reception was, eat at her favorite burger place, walk the campus where Isaac grew from boy to man. I'm kidding Olsons. But we didn't end up doing any of that. Jacob loved being up "in the trees.". Rebecca hardly noticed the change in scenery. Airplanes everywh...

Friday, June 22, 2012. Campi Ya Kanzi - test, no photos. Our first bush camp was an Eco-lodge on 400 square miles of private Maasai land in southern Kenya (right at the border of Tanzania, about 26 miles from Mt. Kilimanjaro, so we were able to get some amazing views of the snow-topped peaks! It's at the base of the Chyulu Hills ("spotted hills" in Maasai) which are the youngest volcanic hills in the world. It was so lush and green - ferns and moss everywhere. Apparently these are some of the last re...

Our Fairy Tale - A Smith Story est. May 8, 2008. Sunday, October 27, 2013. Saturday, October 12. The morning was slow and then picked up quickly as we headed out to a birthday party for our niece Lucy. It was a rainbow party which was lots of fun! J loved the piñata and being with other kids, especially his cousins! We headed home, Matthew and m caught a nap, and then we got ready for our family pictures. Our pictures were fun, and full of getting J to say chicken poop to smile and laugh! I put the kiddo...

The Larsens: June 2010
http://satrickah.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 17, 2010. Are all my posts going to be complaints now? Such a hard life, I know. But I seriously can't help it. When we moved into our office, Sam (my officemate) and I decided it would be fun to wallpaper our huge empty wall and we were sold on Sherwin William's EasyChange paper. It sounded exactly like what we wanted! Easy up, easy down. Temporary wallpaper for your temporary needs (or some crap slogan like that). Then yesterday, I stumble upon Tempaper. Gonna go wallow some more now.
