Vintages is hosting what looks like a decent tasting event featuring some of the larger, big name producers from Burgundy. 83 wines are being poured largely from the 2006 and 2007 vintages. Two wines caught my attention, and not just because they are two of the cheapest on the list:. 1 Cascabel 2005 Shiraz (Australia) $35 - This single-vineyard shiraz is supposed to be more Rhone than Oz and that realy appeals to me because Im not a fan of over the top fruity shiraz.
