Ann Gorbett Palette Knife Painting: Brandy, she's a fine dog...
http://anngorbett.blogspot.com/2015/01/brandy-shes-fine-dog.html
SAMPLES OF COMMISSION WORK. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Brandy, she's a fine dog. Brandy on the Beach. Oil with a palette knife on Blick Studio Cradled Artist Board. My sister asked that I paint this cutie for a friend of hers for her birthday. As I was painting it, I couldn't help but keep singing that song in my head "Brandy, you're a fine dog, what a good dog you would be.". Unfortunately Brandy is no longer with us, but doesn't she look like she loved the beach? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Ann Gorbett Palette Knife Painting: Chalkboard art
http://anngorbett.blogspot.com/2015/03/chalkboard-art.html
SAMPLES OF COMMISSION WORK. Friday, March 20, 2015. While visiting my sister in Texas, we did a lot of redecorating in her new home which was so much fun. One of the things we did was paint chalkboard paint in her front hallway/cafe so I created these two chalkboard art pieces for her. I think I like this new medium! My sister loved them so much and then created this one herself after I left. What a treat for your sister and family, and all who enter her home! March 20, 2015 at 5:32 PM. A BIT ABOUT ME.

Ann Gorbett Palette Knife Painting: Paul's Place
http://anngorbett.blogspot.com/2015/02/pauls-place.html
SAMPLES OF COMMISSION WORK. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Oil with a palette knife on Blick Studio Artist Board. Paul asked if I would do a painting of his place in Provincetown. The photo reference he sent me was taken during a summer party and the lighting was just spectacular. With all of the snow and cold we've been having here in Boston, this was a very welcome subject to paint. February 18, 2015 at 5:17 AM. February 20, 2015 at 2:52 AM. Ann Gorbett Palette Knife Painting: Another Big Postcard and hanging art at the Red Inn
http://anngorbett.blogspot.com/2015/05/another-big-postcard-and-hanging-art-at.html
SAMPLES OF COMMISSION WORK. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Another Big Postcard and hanging art at the Red Inn. The Red Inn 1805-1915. 30" x 40" x 2". Oil with a palette knife on Ampersand Gessobord. This painting was inspired by yet another old postcard that Paul sent me of the Red Inn from the early 1900s. It is the view from the water and shows how the inn looked before the more recent expansion renovations. Here are a couple of process shots I took along the way. May 19, 2015 at 5:21 AM.
