bigheadtaco.com: Lens Review: Fujifilm XF56mm f/1.2 R APD

http://www.bigheadtaco.com/2015/02/lens-review-fujifilm-xf56mm-f12-r-apd.html

Monday, February 2, 2015. Lens Review: Fujifilm XF56mm f/1.2 R APD. 1/1100th sec f/1.2 @ ISO 400. Classic CHrome Jpeg. The Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R APD is a great lens. It's not because it's the sharpest, or has the best colour or an array of other sought after features. It's great because it's unique. Not unlike much of the Fujifilm X series cameras and lenses, Fujifilm stands out as different and this gives their cameras and lenses an edge over every other brand. Why? Aka Brickgirl) and you can clearly...

bigheadtaco.com: May 2015

http://www.bigheadtaco.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 17, 2015. First Look and Preview: The Fujifilm X-T10. Fujifilm Canada contacted me a few weeks back. The title of the email: Shhhhhhh! I was super curious about the new baby brother to the X-T1. I wanted to know how it would feel in the hands and how it would shoot on the street. This was the most important thing I wanted to test anyway, so I decided I would take up the offer and play around with the pre-production X-T10. What did I think? Links to this post. bigheadtaco.com: Preview: Is the Leica T the Future for ILCs?

http://www.bigheadtaco.com/2014/05/preview-is-leica-t-future-for-ilcs.html

Friday, May 16, 2014. Preview: Is the Leica T the Future for ILCs? Change is strange. Some embrace it, others hate it. Some don't mind change, but it depends on what and how much. There are some things that are best untouched, while others need to change or else they will disappear (think of Latin as a language). What is the future of interchangeable lens cameras (ILCs), especially the mirrorless market? Then Leica announced and revealed the all new Leica T. What was Leica thinking? Who's idea was this?

bigheadtaco.com: The Ricoh GR V: A Compact APS-C Monster

http://www.bigheadtaco.com/2013/07/the-ricoh-gr-v-compact-aps-c-monster.html

Tuesday, July 9, 2013. The Ricoh GR V: A Compact APS-C Monster. 1/350th sec F/2.8 @ ISO 400. I loved my Ricoh GR1. During that honeymoon, I actually put more rolls through that camera than the other 2 SLR's combined. I even started loading it with black and white film and used it for my wedding jobs, and many of those images became the most loved pictures of the entire wedding! It's a modern technological accomplishment, as the new Ricoh GR is the smallest APS-C sized compact point and shoot on the market.

bigheadtaco.com: iPhone - Smartphone Street Photography Workshops

http://www.bigheadtaco.com/2014/10/iphone-smartphone-street-photography.html

Thursday, October 30, 2014. IPhone - Smartphone Street Photography Workshops. IPhone 5S. 1/2933 sec f/2.2 @ ISO 40. Douglas Coupland's Gumhead at the Vancouver Art Gallery. 95% of the pictures are taken with my iPhone and post processed using mobile applications (VSCO, Camera , PS Express). I've been very transparent with how I take the pictures and post process, but many have suggested I start workshops to physically show people how it's done. Thanks for all your support and happy shooting!

A trace of light that survive a little further than the actual moment of flash. Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Fujifilm X-30: the "cool" camera. Fujifilm X-30 at rest. What about the Fujifilm X-30 that is the third version of the high-end compact Fujifilm X-two digits series initiated by the X-10 and X20 previous models. It is definitively a very fun camera. It works nicely. It perfo. So let the pictures speak as you can review in this small essay:. Product Link: Fujifilm X-30 Link. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Back and Front the (compact) camera with Daniel M: September 2013

http://photodanielm.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

A trace of light that survive a little further than the actual moment of flash. Saturday, September 14, 2013. The perfect wide angle of view: Zuiko M.12mm F2 and M.12-50mm F3.5-6.3. We ca argue again and again on what is the perfect "wide" angle of view but many of us will agree that 12mm (24mm equivalent in 35mm film format) is one of the most appealing focal length to work with. Zuiko M.12mm F2.0. Zuiko M.12-50mm F3.5-6.3. Wide angle lens are by essence very close action lenses compared to their teleph...

A trace of light that survive a little further than the actual moment of flash. Saturday, November 9, 2013. No explanations, just pictures. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Back and Front the (compact) camera with Daniel M. Life is a world of differences, tastes, contexts and situations. A trace of light that survive a little further than the actual moment of flash. Sunday, March 29, 2015. No perfecto for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 but mucho amor. Chatting about the Classic Olympus OM-D E-M5. Photography can be an art of expression of provocation and to reach that level you have to overcome the comfort to be conformist. Olympus OM-D E-M5 and M.12-50mm F3.5-6.2. It is a big introduction to validate my choice of working with the Olympus OM-D E-M5. But wait! There is already a version II of this...

Back and Front the (compact) camera with Daniel M: March 2013

http://photodanielm.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

A trace of light that survive a little further than the actual moment of flash. Sunday, March 10, 2013. Short B&W essay with the Olympus OM-D E-M5. Black and white photography has been the classical way of doing light imaging right from the start of this new pictorial "art". And I have followed the same path since my modest debut with a Kodak Brownie 620 film camera. Here are some recent works with the Olympus OM-D E-M5. All pictures files are originally done in black and white. Snowfall over the bridge.
