If you are thinking about going to the Grand Canyon with children. Family photo in the Grand Canyon: check! Julia’s first time seeing the Grand Canyon with daylight: at Mather Point. http://carriecooper.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. Last year was great but I have a feeling that this year is going to be fantastic! I've never been one for idols or new years resolutions but I do have goals. My goals for this year are to send labor (at least a 5.22c/d), get into physical therapy school (probably v12), and get back into climbing shape. Photo by Kyle George. On the media front, check out the prAna LOVE! Http:/ www.prana.com/blog/2010/12/24/20-questions-interview-with-carrie-cooper-video/. Links to this post.

Saturday, January 28, 2012. The best looking problems in Triassic are tall and the top outs stand on their own. So be prepared. It's totally worth it. Hannah Von atop the Sweet Boulder. She brought Ava a giant pommelo as a gift this morning and presented it to her remarking, "I found a dinosaur egg! Ava was delighted as she is somewhat of a dinosaur expert :). Another day stolen from the icy grip of winter. Hannah and I geeking out over cool hand holds and rock formations. Get Some Two Fingers. We spoke ...

Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Now, here's a little story I'd like to tell about escaping the winter. Moe's Valley, St. George, UT. Everyone found a way to show some skin to the sun gods. The pants had to go back on eventually. Jeff topping out Israil with a grin. Then the sun went down and we hiked up to Escape Artist v13. Thankfully Jeff brought lights and Blake knew how to set them up :). Jeff on Escape Artist (v13). Jeff and Blake.why don't I have any photos of Land? Vegas is a trippy place. Subscribe t...

Tuesday, September 18, 2012. High Country Calls are always answered. A video he was doing for prAna. And the Triple Crown of Bouldering. S 10th Anniversary I couldn't help but say yes! So after completing a very challenging semester of PT school, I left for a week long trip to North Carolina. We stayed with Kim and Paul Fuelling and when I arrived at their house I was all alone, free to wander and take in my new surroundings. I walked around the house,. Looking at the wood growing lichen on it and the.

Carrie Cooper: Castle Rocks, ID
http://carriecooper.blogspot.com/2014/02/castle-rocks-idaho-desolate-garden-of.html
Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Castle Rocks, ID. A desolate garden of rock that contradicts itself within its own boundaries. Far from any metropolis, the rules that govern this park vary in such strange ways one can only suspect a vindictive origin. A for-a-fee playground is fenced off to vehicles, sort of. Park and walk down the dirt road which is a light jaunt to the rocks. From Rock and Ice. Ahh, lots of deep breaths. Ok, fine.I guess we'll climb. Joe Meiners led the train in the taco cave. On the boulde...

Carrie Cooper: September 2011
http://carriecooper.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 15, 2011. It is the first day of Fall and what a glorious change it has been. I feel relieved and almost post traumatically reminiscent of summer. So here are some highlights:. I feel so lucky to have found the Rock Moms of SLC. Blacksmith Fork Canyon in June. 45 minutes outside of Vegas we had a blowout. 70 mph, I looked up from the passengers seat just in time to see our tire rolling off the side of the interstate. We were lucky and Volvo XC's are just as safe as they say. I had a h...

Sunday, July 10, 2011. A Lovely Little Cottonwood Day. A short day at the secret garden area was fun and fruitful. Twisted is the area classic. Highly recommended. I fell of the very last move 4 times before I could hoist my body high enough to grab the JUG. Kelly showed me the moves :). We had three kids with us and this area kept them enclosed and happy. There are "tunnels" in between the rocks and LOTS of inch worms to put in an inch worm zoo. Links to this post. Get up, get out, and do something!
