On the 29th we knew that we were going to be doing a lot of descending. However, it was a little bit more work that what was expected. Terrain: 27: Flat with two small gradual inclines 28: Climbing last big climb of the trip. You all must try one they are heavenly! It was like 9:30 or something and he contemplated going back to the table to try to win more. I was like NO, don’t do it, stop while your ahead, if you go back you will lose money. So we left and went back to camp. I will be in San Francisco before I know it!

Monday, July 11, 2011. July 9-11 - Gunnison, CO to Montrose, CO to Telluride, CO and Rest Day. Mileage: 70 miles, 70 miles. Terrains: Climbing up and down the Rocky Mountains, Gradual long climbs and descents. Temperature: 75-80 degrees, temperature changes with elevation. I will make sure to not do that again! We then had about a 12 mile descent to our second stop of the day. It was just glorious! July 11, 2011 at 4:12 PM. I cant imagine it, , 12000 feet plus, 9 mile ascents! July 11, 2011 at 4:14 PM.
