The rest was blob time as we cleaned out the camper. Town hadn't changed since yesterday but we might get a shower or two, who knows with the. Weather here, the theres. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. December 27 and 28. Fun at Tekapo. Actually, fun at tekapo was a bit of a misnomer, we spent more time in the Mt Cook area than anywhere. As I said, Lynn rode to Cook, so we went back to Cook on the bikes so I could ride it as well and have a poke around some of the lookouts etc. the pace had picked up a bit as the tours had kicked off again. Artist Woodturner from New Zealand. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Turning over a new leaf". New piece called "Turning over a new leaf. The piece is Tawa and Jarrah. It is about 350mm long and is off set turned to 8mm at the thick end and 3mm at the small end. The pieces of wood are leftovers from mutant two. Artist Woodturner from New Zealand. Monday, July 20, 2009. New piece of woodturning. Texture: Pyrography and painted. I turned this out of a piece of wet Rhododendron to about 2mm thick and let it dry before doing the pyrography. It has a rounded bottom, which makes it rock if bumped, hence the name Balance. The photo isn't the best sorry. I found that no mater what light source I used the pale wood over exposed and if I set the exposure for the bottom part of the vessel the picture came out too dark!
