Life on Two Wheels. Bianchi Methanol FS – The Rear Suspension Test: Rockshox vs Fox vs Magura. Date: June 21, 2013. My initial feel for the bike was amazing, the shock broke in quickly and the FOX CTD has three settings: Climb, Trail, Descend. The rebound adjuster has decent grip and audibly clicks, ten positions let you dial in as much as you need. In a blindfold test you’d be hard pressed to choose between this and the Fox CTD. Life on Two Wheels. I’m a determined bastard trying to make it big in the Cape Town Cycling Scene, starting at the bottom and clawing my way up one wheel at a time. To crack my first big race win. It took me 950h of racing and training, 22110km and 650 exercises to get there in just over two years. Below is my bio. I currently race as Captain in Team Aurecon Sub-Vet Race team and compete in the 30-34 age group in South African road races and in MTB events. Below is a summary of my results:. Place SV and 6.

Life on Two Wheels. Back to the Future – Reunion Ride. Date: August 8, 2013. After the race for us our lives went different ways, I went full wide open into competitive cycling in various disciplines , but Sean didn’t, he ran a little, he changed career, studied and then began working, meanwhile we both grew families. We rode together once, for an hour post race and that was that…. Just like old times. View all posts by nevillejnr. Gaerne G.Kobra MTB Shoes Long Term Review. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Life on Two Wheels. Wolftooth S-Works Direct Mount Chainring. Date: July 22, 2013. But this wasn’t the spider I wanted to fit… I wanted to get the Wolftooth ring on there! There was no fore/aft movement or rotation like the genuine spider at all! I locked the lockring down with a bit of loctite blue and took a look at the chainline angle of the ring and hoped it would clear the chain stays without too much spacing or reconfiguring. I now have a box full of Specialized spacers from various cranks so i...

Life on Two Wheels. Gaerne G.Kobra MTB Shoes Long Term Review. Date: August 7, 2013. This is a follow up review on my original post found here. After a few months of good use. As you can tell by the pics they’ve seen a fair bit of action, some tumbles and a bit of walking, some foot downs, mud, dust and river crossings. They still look as good on as the day I got them and I look forward to many more comfortable and speedy miles ahead🙂. View all posts by nevillejnr. Back to the Future – Reunion Ride.

Life on Two Wheels. Gaerne G Kobra MTB Shoe Review. Date: May 14, 2013. I started a migration to all things Italian two years ago, and now I have one of the most important connections to the bike taken care of by these Italian racing slippers for the dirt, the Gaerne G.Kobra Carbon. So far they have proven to be money well spent and I look forward to hundreds of miles in them in the days to come! View all posts by nevillejnr. Top of the World. Wolftooth Single Front Chainring Conversion – Neville Cragg

Life on Two Wheels. Wolftooth Single Front Chainring Conversion. Date: July 11, 2013. Since the release of XX1 by Sram I’d been intrigued but skeptical, I am typically a gear masher, run a 42/28 combo in the front and love to crush the flats in mountain bike races, how would this work for me…I didn’t think there were enough gears. I spent a few hours over a period of time looking at gearing charts and pondering what to do. The result is what I call “ Tenglespeed. So far so good. Even without a chainguide...
