July 25, 2015. I am tying to work out what type of Owl I saw last night. May 10, 2015. At 830pm it was just starting to get dark, we were sat in the front room watching TV, but out of the window we saw a Tawny Owl land on the Telegraph Pole in the garden, it stayed for a few minutes, and then swooped down into the field. At 10pm we could still hear it out there hooting away :-). April 22, 2015. Been so busy recently, haven’t had time to sit and watch the birds. White Wizard Purple Elf. The Shine On Theme.

April 16, 2015. Today at 1.30pm I saw 3 House Martins circling the house, checking out the nests from last year. So cool to have them back! April 11, 2015. On 9th April I may have seen a glimpse of a House Martin at the back of the house, it flew very quickly, and I only saw it out of the corner of my eye. This evening, once again, I thought I saw a Martin, flying across the front of the house. It is 8.20pm, dusk, and we also have 3 hares running around the field. March 13, 2015. Newer posts →.

Boil 1l milk (i do it in the micro), this is to sterilise the milk. When warm (body temperature) add 1 tbsp of yoghurt. Stir. Pour into a flask, leave for 8hours. This is such an easy thing to do, I have made bread almost everyday since December 2006! 500g flour (i always use strong organic flour). 2 tsp dried yeast (or 20g fresh yeast – you will need to activate it first). 2009 project - - The Mahogany Owl. A carving project in mahogany wood block. This small screech-owl is facing, looking straight ahead, toward below, as it were staring a field mouse. The bird is balanced, standing on a branch, leaning down with its tail folded. Its tufts are lifted up. Eyes are pale yellow with large pupil. The mahogany is reddish brown and actually the bird is too. I expect around 80 hours for the carving; it would be completed by next fall. The steps from the beginning :.
