Bramble's Ramblings

Friday, June 27, 2008. Finally Over Final Fantasy. And Final Fantasy Tactics. Alone add up to over five hundred hours (and likely more, since Tactics' clock stops at 99:99). I have always been, first and foremost, an RPG gamer. However, like so many things in my life, that seems to be changing. I still remember the first time I ever saw an RPG. I was at my older cousin Shane's house in Chipman, and he was playing Phantasy Star. Deathmatches later, and I was a changed man. Or so I thought. Because it's pr...

Bramble's Ramblings: Sony Is Forcing My Hand

http://bitterbramble.blogspot.com/2007/07/sony-is-forcing-my-hand.html

Tuesday, July 10, 2007. Sony Is Forcing My Hand. I don't want a Playstation 3. I think that I've made that pretty clear in the past, but it's worth reiterating. It costs too much, it doesn't have any good games, it represents a new media format. That I don't want to support, and it is being pushed on me by an arrogant. HDMI cables must be purchased separately, and its game boxes are too damn small (is there something wrong with DVD-standard, you pricks? But I might be about to buy one. That's the way I'v...

Bramble's Ramblings: December 2005

http://bitterbramble.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 29, 2005. For anyone who wasn't aware, Kingdom Hearts 2 came out in Japan just before Christmas. In case any of you feel like teasing yourself (except for the twins, who regularly play import games and could play it right now if they were so inclined- bastards), here's a preview. Note: FYI, for the unfortunate few among you who haven't played it (I think that roughly 1/2 of my regular readers have), the post title is a KH reference.]. Posted by Jordan at 2:28 PM. Short post today- I'm ...

Wednesday, August 31, 2005. Jagged Alliance 2 is Teh Shit. Well, looks like the first organic extension is video games. I'm sure that noone is surprised. :-). Anyway, that was longer than I intended, and anyone who cares already knows. Oh well. Suffice it to say, JA2 is very good, and I thank Nathan for advising me to pick up a copy a couple of years ago (which I only recently got around to playing). Posted by Jordan at 1:17 PM. Friday, September 30, 2005. Indigo Prophecy: Enjoyable Experiment. The game gives you control over these characters using a fun and intuitive interface that tasks the left analog stick with moving and the right analog stick with interacting with your environment via context-sensitive movements. Want to have a cup of coffee? Drag your right stick out and around in a counter-clockwise motion to pour the cup, then pull it up to your lips to drink. Change you mind 1/2-way through? So, you might be thinking t...

http://jaryee.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Friday, April 29, 2005. Geeee you think it's rained enough YET? I think it's probably easier to count the sunny days we've had in the last two weeks: 3 days (maybe)! If it doesn't flood, there must be some sort of miracle work going on underground.cuz it's been raining pretty heavily for the last two days. Anyways, it's Friday. again! GIVE ME A BREAK! AND I emailed U of Ottawa's faculty of education to find out whether I'd be able to change my concentration from Junior/I...

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Wednesday, December 29, 2004. And a Happy New Year! Ah merry belated Christmas! New Year's in coming at full speed. only three more days left of 2004! Boy o boy. can you believe the year is already over? I was going to do a summary of my year, but I'm not that interesting, so there isn't much to say! I found that they just had too much on the go and tried to twist everything a lot. Was sort of? I think you can make an online donation at any of these websites with a maste...

http://jaryee.blogspot.com/2008/11/christmas-yet.html

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Sunday, November 09, 2008. I'm feeling like getting ready for the Christmas season.it's a bit early. Plus, it feels like Christmas will not be Christmas over here. I mean, no snow. no space for a tree. how is that Christmas? How is it Christmas without SNOW! Speaking of snow. I MISS it. Maybe I shouldn't have written it like that.it seems to be in a way, taboo here. Whenever I say I'm from NB, people respond."you must be loving the weather over here! It's so mild here!

http://jaryee.blogspot.com/2009/01/sleep-sucks.html

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. No, not burnt out. but just can't get a good night's sleep. I think I must wake up at least 5 times each night. it's been at least 2 weeks since I've had a "decent" night's sleep. The definition of decent is debatable. My definition is me waking up 2-3 times and that I'm able to fall back to sleep within minutes of waking up. It SUCKS! In other news, CNY (Chinese New Year) is just around the corner. What a difference it's been (so far)! Since m...

A Cup of Bitter Bramble Tea

A Cup of Bitter Bramble Tea. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Katti appears to have floated out of a Jane Austen. Novel and no one noticed! She and her mother worked hard on creating a Regency inspired dress especially for the occasion. The dress had a beautiful print of flowers on it and Katti looked so elegant in it. When she moved the dress flowed around her in a kind of romantic way that you only see in movies. I'm hoping that Katti will write a post about the dress on her blog. A tray of delightful things.
