Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: July 2012
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 29, 2012. I've gone and done it. Well, gone over to the dark side of clinky ponies. Blame Karen Gerhardt. Or thank her. :). My new (to me) Skutt KM1227 in it's place of honor in the front corner of our garage. Obviously the crap around it will get moved during fires. :). Here's a little size comparison -. I'm 5'6" and as you can see the thing could easily fit me inside it! So what am I doing with this Mama Jama kiln? Molding for ceramic is much different than molding for resin casting. I...

Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: April 2012
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 9, 2012. So, since my website at this point is horribly out dated and I don't see any time to get to it in the near future, I'll post some WIP horses here. I'll actually be giving the website a nice facelift when I do get to it, so there'll be that to look forward too as much as the new photos that will be on it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: September 2012
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2012. So you all remember the previous post. Where I showed off my new-to-me-kiln and the beginnings of Darcy's mold? Well, the mold has been finished and is a success! I have two casts out of it and will be aiming for a third this week. I'm not quite finished with the cleaning on this piece, but just about. I have to tell you just how much FUN it is to customize the clay! Wrinkles are a breeze and come out SO nice! Wish me luck. :). Sunday, September 2, 2012. I'm someone who can't ...

Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: September 2013
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 29, 2013. I finished this gal up a couple weeks ago, but have neglected to find time to put her up on the site. So, she's a great excuse for a blog post! And because I've been lax in my blogging, I'm putting a veritable smorgasbord of photos up! Rose is a commission piece and is not for sale. But you know who is for sale? This fabulous *ceramic* Darcy! This is #1 in the edition of 25 and is up on eBay now as a benefit auction for Laura Behning's SouthCon show. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: March 2013
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 18, 2013. Meantime, I'm finishing up lots of ponies! Photos of Jane's Reiner, Tanja's Victrix, Kayla's Stormwatch and Katrina's David will soon be up! And there are a several horses right on their heals too! To me I couldn't wait to get started so while the cold-painted ponies were drying I'm giving Darcy a kiln buddy. That's all you get is this little sneak peek! And this shot has since been improved upon as of tonight. :). Sunday, March 3, 2013. The Sum of all her Parts is a Whole. Thin a...

Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: A Simple Saturday Update
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2013/06/a-simple-saturday-update.html
Saturday, June 29, 2013. A Simple Saturday Update. JerryLynn's Sencillo is up next, leaving on Mini Darcy left from the early group batch. JL ordered up a graying smutty buckskin overo and I, along with lots of you I'm sure, will agree this is a great color for Sencillo. He did very well at a local show she took him to the day after completion! It is apparent to me that my painting technique has now far transcended my photography skillz! I will have to work harder to take more flattering photos! Lynn A&#...

Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: February 2013
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2013. So, while the snow has been coming down I've been guiltily spending time sculpting. I needed a break from the painting just to freshen myself up a bit. After pouring another layer of rubber on Mimi and Baldur. Morgan mare and Icelandic Horse stallion), I decided to make a little more progress on a little filly I'm having lots of fun with! Thanks to Liesl Dalpe for the inspiration of sculpting the legs separate from the body! My favorite order of sculpting things seems to be st...

Aspen Leaf Studios Blog - Jennifer Scott: December 2011
http://aspenleafstudios.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2011. I also thought it would be fun to post photos of the Christmas cards I did for the families this Holiday. All are done in water colors with some bordering in micron ink pens. Mom's is this next one. Mom is slightly obsessed with miniature donkeys. This one is way cuter in person. Brother Chris has a little Toy Daschund named Sydney who is just a complete Diva. So, she is sprawled on her favorite white leopard fleece blanket with her bling color and her sparkly presents. For M...
