CHARIOT: The Austringer (1969)
https://chariotrpg.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-austringer.html
Thursday, 22 December 2016. One of the only surviving stills from the 1969 BBC play The Austringer. A ghost story, for Christmas. Not a folk horror, so much as about a folk horror. I read it to some friends on the darkest night of this year. I must acknowledge a debt of gratitude to my friend Jon Dear for the technical details in this story; every accuracy is his, every error mine, and so this story is dedicated to him. 8226;••. 8220;I won't want to keep any of it.” She is talking to the boxes. And I think his game had heart, and heart is sorely what this sort of pastime needs. Monday, 29 Aug...

Sunday, 1 January 2017. We Don't Go Back #25: Red Shift (1978). I didn't mean this to happen, but between Christmas holiday parenting, my Other Place of Work (still the best job I ever had), and the pressure to write a ghost story to a deadline. I needed a break from blogging, so I've been pretty quiet, I confess. Also, of the last four subjects in the We Don't Go Back. Project, one was great but honestly pretty tough to write about. One was unpleasant in all the bad ways. And one was just godawful.
