For her birthday, Anne rented this charming house next to Landa Library, and we had cupcakes, balloons, and outdoor games (provided by CC). Mostly, Birdie loved playing on the playground with her cousin Luke. Happily, she led the singing for Evie's birthday a few days ago, so I'm thinking it was just a phase. Birthday started at church with Mimi and Pa. Playing with Cousin Luke.

Check-up on the bird and see what the Careys are up to in San Antonio. Monday, August 3, 2015. Both girls have been counting down the days until Evie's bday, and it's been sweet to see Birdie nearly as excited as her sister. Evie is really into dinosaurs, trucks, and tractors. We focused mostly on dinos for the invitation and the thank-you gifts, but I imagine that was largely lost on her. I think she was mainly psyched about the cupcakes and swimming at CCs. See what I mean about cute connection.

Check-up on the bird and see what the Careys are up to in San Antonio. Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Chad and I did the unthinkable.we traveled across country with a 1.5 year-old and a 2.5 year-old. Yikes! My mom and dad have a time share in Hilton Head South Carolina, so we flew there for Thanksgiving week. Traveling with a lap child proved pretty challenging, but I'm so glad we went. I was folding clothes in the nursery this morning, when Birdie came in to say, "Mom, did you remember it is my birthday, today? I gave her a big birthday hug and sang to her while she sat in my lap in the same bouncy chair I used to rock her in as a baby. I failed to get this photo shoot scheduled in time for Christmas, New Year's or Valentine's cards. Maybe I'll get something together for Easter.fingers crossed. (Birdie, 3 and Evie, 18 mo.). Here's hoping. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Is it completely strange that I skipped over Christmas 2013 and went right into March of 2014? Mostly she licked the icing off and left the cupcake alone.

Check-up on the bird and see what the Careys are up to in San Antonio. Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Happy Fourth, Happy Birthday, Happy Retirement, Happy Happy. Cousins Luke Leonard, Genevieve Currie, and Bernice Parker. CC brought great toys to the beach including pom poms and beanie babies. This was our amazing porch view of the ocean. Birdie and Luke sat on a lawn chair together and watched the fireworks on the beach below. They LOVED it. Evie slept through the whole craziness. She played and played!
